Hello there,

To manually remove any disk from your ROM tray, simply use a paper clip or any straight wire that can reach up to at least 2 inches long.

1) straighten paper clip.
2) look for the manual eject hole which is usually located near the eject button.
3) insert the pin/clip and push firmly to eject the tray.

Hope this helps.

Samsung Blue ray disc tray will not close. Seems to be stuck in the open position. How can I get it to close?

Grab the tray and run it back and forth 10 or more times aggressively. It may trick it into resetting the drive motor contacts and operating again.

Cd drive keeps ejecting

Does the it eject as soon as you close it or is there a delay?

Things to check in the meantime - The button on the drive itself (you may even have an extra on on your laptop too) to eject the drive isn't stuck or jammed in some way.

There are no foreign objects preventing the tray from closing properly.

If there is a disc in the drive it is seated in the tray correctly.

Panasonic sc-pt1050 just displays close. Ive tried unplugging it and leaving off for a while, but that didnt work. The disc tray is closed and when it turns on it dosent even try to read the disc nor can...

I have the same exact problem. Turns out my toddler has stuck a piece of paper in the tray, so the tray was just stuck. I just undo the four screws on the side and 3 in the back, lifted up the top cover, remove the paper causing the jam, put everything back together. Problem solved. Saved $140 from having to sent it to Panasonic

Says there is a paper jam but we looked everywhere and there is no paper stuck anywhere in the machine

soes it say original jam or just paper jam if the jam is in th document feeder part open the top and check the sensors where the paper goes trhough.you may have to take the toner/drum unit out to reset the jam also if there is a door on the back open and close this to reset the sensors. If there was no paper the first time check the paper tray by pulling out and then look inside where the tray sits as the poaper might be stuck there.. also check the tray in that the paper sits tight in the guides and the rollers that feed are not dirty. If turning on and off doesnt get rid of the jam there is something stuck on one of the sensors..Goood Luck A

PS2

There may be many problem that have occurred to make this happen, here is a list of the three most common:
  1. You MAY have a disc jammed into the PS2, making it impossible to open (and/or) close. This could have happened by someone accidentally putting one disc right on top of a disc that is in the PS2, and not taking the other game, movie, etc., out. How to fix? Best Buy, Circuit City. Another way this could have happened is: an earthquake, flood, SOMETHING, may have happened that made a disc fall out of the tray (while INSIDE of the PS2) and jam it up, to fix this, you have to do the same as the first option.
  2. The motor is broken, this is pretty self explanatory, the motor that makes the disc drive open and close is broken, solution? Same as before.
  3. Your PS2 has reached it's prime, and gone over the hill, sorry buddy. :(
I hope you found this helpful, sincerely- animation508 (youtube username)
