Plastic flap where hose attaces to vaccum has broken

it is a circular attachment that attaches to the top of a plastic tube. with that is attached a solid circular piece of plastic that acts as flap that can be raised up to allow the vaccum hose to be attached. this circular flap has a small pin on each side that fits into slots in the other circular attachment. one of these has broken off.

    thanks cb

Sir may be if u can analyse the broken parts clearly, i mean if u have the broken parts if they are not too small and if they are big enough then i think you can fix em back using a quickfix glue, but u need to be carefull as bonds are too strong. Be patient while getting it done, then u can solve it sucessfully.

Thankyou

If it screws in it will be reverse threaded. Screw to the left tight....right loose.

How to repair the lower intake flexible hose on the Hoover Agility

hoses are screwed into the end bits by turning in the do up direction
original equipment hoses are normally glued into the end piece but with a bit of determination and a flat bladed screw driver, the glue can be broken and the end removed
fit the good section of the hose into the end and screw it in using an un do direction
if it is the plastic fitting itself that is broken then weld the broken section back together
Basically use a soldering iron and heat the sections until the plastic melts back together
There are u tube pages that show how easy it is to do as they heat weld all sorts of plastic and tips on how to improve the strength of the repair. go google and type in how to weld plastic.

Most hoses simply pull off, and the new one pushed back on in its place. As far as I am aware replacement hoses come with the correct connections ect so the main hose should have the plastic handle part and also the bottom couplingfor near the base of the vaccume

Dyson DC25- no suction

When you return the hose the wand will push the flap open, this is normal. if you were to take off your dirt bin youll see a clear dial with a grey arm attached to it. this grey arm is part of the piece your wand pushes open. This clear dial activates your change over valve. There should be a screw and plastic washer in the center of it. These sometimes work loose. You can try turning the dial by hand with the hose out and see if this changes anything.

No dirt is getting to the plastic container.....

if the filters are clean I doubt it! Under the foot of the hoover there should be a little black cover/flap that covers the intake part of the hose, try lifting this flap forward and see if there is any blockage at this end.

Hoover z400 clogged

There should be a bottom plate covering the brush roll that you can remove, if you can't dig out the what is in there, try using your hose and suck it out from the bottom, maybe you will be able to get it out.

Brush does not turn on my vaccum

When you attach the hose to the wands, there is a connection made between the hose electrical receptacle and the cord from the powerhead. On the Kenmore, it is common for the receptacle on the hose to break away from it's seat and slide back into the handle. When this happens, the receptacle is not positioned far enough forward to make the plug-in connection. Look at the end of the hose and check the receptacle and see if it is sitting flush with the plastic opening that it sits in. If it is pushed back, that's your problem. Also check the re-set breaker on the powerhead. If you got something caught in the brush roll, the breaker will have kicked out to protect the motor.
