If the filters are clean I doubt it! Under the foot of the hoover there should be a little black cover/flap that covers the intake part of the hose, try lifting this flap forward and see if there is any blockage at this end.

How do I unstop vacuum so that the dirt moves through the hose? Vacuum has suction but wont move the dirt through to the bag less container.

If you can disconnect the hose and feel vacuum at the hose connector, that indicates that the hose is plugged. Disconnect both ends of the hose and hold the hose over a plastic garbage band to ketch debris and shove a broom handle through the hose to dislodge any obstruction. Reconnect the hose and test for vacuum.

Vacuum is clogged

Without specifics of Model, I can't tell you how. There are no clog ports in Dirt Devil vacuums. Usually a hose has to be removed to unclog.

Sounds stupid but how to i connect the hose?

the hose on a dirt devil upright attaches on the side near the bottom of the plastic container that hold the dirt; that end goes in and gives suction to the power head.the other end goes on the other side closer to the top of the plastic container again on the side. If you look at the bottom of the machine you should see a hose going from the power head to the machine and it leads up and attaches to the long hose. It is the other side it attaches near the suction to create the air flow. You can also check your owners manual. Thanks and good luck. If this helps don't for get to click on the yes box on your way out.

Clogged hose...

Hi!

Low suction, poor pickup, or no suction may be due to a clog in the vacuum cleaner. If you notice a change in the sound of the motor or a reduction in the spinning action in the Dirt Container, check for clogs. Unplug cleaner from electrical outlet. Empty Dirt Container. Check Upper Tank and Louvers for build up or clogs. Check to make sure Louvers are installed correctly. To unlock the Louvers, grasp the rim and turn toward the left. Pull straight down to remove. If the Louvers are missing or not locked into place, check and clear the tube in the center of the Dirt Container. Remove the Twist ‘n Snap Hose from the vacuum by turning to the left. Check the Suction Inlet, Hose and Hose Wand for clogs. Remove any clogs from the hose using a long, narrow object. Check the Foot Hose for clogs. If needed, remove the screw attaching the Hose Wand Base to the vacuum. Straighten the Foot Hose and unclog with a long, narrow object. If the clog persists, then check the Rotating Floor Brush the Air Passageway for obstructions.

How do I unclog a bissell vaccum? I'm not just talking about unclogging the hose, I need to unclog the complete vacuum cleaner. HELP!!!

Well firstly, whats the model number and do you have the user manual to hand?

If the main hose has been unblocked, then it could be the main dirt channel which is blocked just after the moving roller brush panel. A long pipe cleaner or wire brush can remove this blockage easily rather than taking everything apart.

Dirt devil 12amp,Patent No.6571425

Either it needs a new belt, they stretch and break, then won't turn the brush roll. The dirt inlet by the brush roll is clogged, the hose may have a clog in it, filters are bad. If the hose comes off on one end, is there suction there, is so then the clog is farther down. If no suction, then the clog is in the hose or filter.
