Our picture seems to large vertically..we can only see the bottom of the words at the top of the screen, such as school closings or the running order of a nascar race. I cannot locate the owners manual for the tv either. Please help!

I had the same problem and tried everything with the tv to get it back to normal. I would look for what was suggested by tvtek, but also look on your cable remote or box for an "aspect" button. That fixed my problem. If your problem occurs with DVDs as well then you may have another issue, but if it is with cable only, try this. When I called our cable company the tech said alot of people this button without even knowing it.

I just had this problem. None of the size adjustments on the tv remote would reduce the picture size properly. The cable remote had a button called HD ZOOM. Pressing this button restored a normal picture.

You will be looking for a "format", "picture size" or "screen size" button on your remote as the TV is most likely in the zoom mode. If you have HD satellite or cable, there is a possibility that one of those is stretching the picture out as well.

Picture cut off on sides, how do i shrink picture to screen?

If model listed is correct the problem is in power supply or vertical or horizontal circuits.

If cut off on sides (horizontal) and bowed on sides it is a pincussion problem. IF short top and bottom a vertical issue--if both it is in the power supply.

Model listed is rather old and parts may not be available for it.

The words "Digital Noise Filter

The words "Digital Noise Filter Off" and "digital Noise Filter On" appear on the top left and right and side of the screen and the words " Auto Visulisation" appear on the bottom of the screen all the time when watching normal T.V.(series 5 lcd) and if we make changes regarding in setting in picture option in mode.then after 20-30 min againg it displays same message

Lines across my tv where the picture is reversed

You have bad capacitors in the vertical deflection. And you will have to resolder the vertical IC as well. Replace the caps in the area of the vertical IC. Find a TV tech or hobbiest to do this!

ILO tv black screen on top black screen on bottom with only about a 4" picture screen in middle... can you help thanks jerry

Hello dacrewof6,

This sounds like your vertical section is malfunctioning. This can be caused by the vertical drive section which connects to the yoke transformers of your CRTs. I would suggest taking the set to a qualified repair shop and having them check the vertical section of the TV.

I hope this helps

Thank you,
