Screen zoom level way too big

old compaq? 2700 old old relic. 17 years old today (2001 made)
packed full of lint do dought.!!! and overheating.
windows what? xp to 10, what? please do not post.
F8 tell me, its w7? we hope
it came with windows 2000 or XP that is for sure.
what is it now? click control panel, then system
or tell me oldest date of files in C:/windows folder.
XP was born in 2001.

XP is virus magnet and all are infected with 700 exploites +++
a counting and not supported by MS.com
vasta has no self repair modes and is doomed for that 1 reason.
W7 has legs, is it w7? is it running IE11," if yes its W7
self shuts down fans and screen goes black,>?
no errors to screen
no text errors,
no beeping no blinking caps lock led codes.
steps that work on all old PCs like this.

1. remove that 17 year old shorted huge batter and leave it out.
2. now the RTC coin cell is bad, not one ever ran 17 year ever.
3. next we clean all that lint out of all vents and RAD and fan or it will overheat for sure and all PCs shut off if overheated.,
4. Next test HDD, if its dead no repairs are possible so we fix that next.
5. then load linux best on this old PC, or w7 might work but costs $120 to try it. no free try like W10, at all,

1. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Zoom, then turn on Zoom.

To turn off Zoom, double-tap the screen with three fingers or use accessibility shortcuts.

Go to settings then display & brightness, then under Display zoom go to view and choose standard view instead of zoomed.

If you are talking about a internet browser usually it's Ctrl + to zoom in or Ctrl - to zoom out

If you are talking about screen resolution than:

1. Open Display Settings by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, clicking Personalization, and then clicking Display Settings.

2. Under Resolution, move the slider to the resolution you want, and then click Apply. FILE > PRINT PREVIEW Prior to printing, got to the print preview screen. There will be a window of the print there and as/if you chance any settings, the print preview window will show (exactly) what the printed page will look like.

FILE > PRINT OPTIONS There you can set the header and footer margins. If nessassary.

• If you have a mouse with a wheel, hold down the CTRL key, and then scroll the wheel to zoom in or out.
  

• If you click the Change Zoom Level button , it will cycle through 100%, 125%, and 150%, giving you a quick enlargement of the webpage.
  

• From the keyboard you can increase or decrease the zoom value in 10% increments. To zoom in, press CTRL+PLUS SIGN (+). To zoom out, press CTRL+MINUS SIGN (-). To restore the zoom to 100%, press CTRL+0.

Set the zoom level in Magnifier. This can display objects on the screen up to sixteen times larger than actual size. Follow these steps to choose the magnification level that you want.

1. Click to open Magnifier.
   

2. In the Scale Factor list, select a level. The zoom level in the Magnifier window will change right away. Adjust the level until it's right for you.

1 Click the "Start" button in Windows.

2 Select "Control Panel."

3 Select "Appearance and Themes."

4 Select "Change the Screen Resolution."

5 Look at the left side of the "Display Properties" dialog window. About half way down the screen you will see a box labeled "Screen resolution." There is an adjustable slider in this box.

6 Move the slider left or right, by holding down the left mouse button, and moving the mouse in the appropriate direction. Release the button when the slider is pointing to the resolution you desire.

7 Click the "Apply" button at the bottom right of the window. The screen will go black for an instant, and then will switch to the new resoulution. You will also see a message pop up asking you to confirm the setting. If you are unsatisfied with the appearance, then click "no," and try another resolution. Otherwise, click "yes."

or try the accessibility mode

1) press start goto control panel be sure use are in classic view

2) select accessibilty options and select display tab and uncheck the enlarged icons option and apply and click on ok. this will reset all programs to a smaller view.

You seem to have changed the resolution of the screen. Go to your "control panel" and reset it to a higher resolution.

I installed version 6.5 of PageMaker as I was having problems with the 7 version. I am going to give you a link and suggest you try the following. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe open your PM files and delete them all. unzip the files and put them all into the folder. Rename the folder PM65. In the folder open the application icon and it should load. the file is of course PM65.rar. The website is completely safe. It is my own web. Good Luck
