I got an oldie windows 2000 and after a clean up of old files my screen zoom level is huge. Anything I open is too large. How do I fix that
What happen is that your windows reset the graphics.
go to your desktop and right click anyway on the screen. a window should pop up. On the bottom of the screen there will be a bar that says properties. click on that. this should open another window. once this window is open click on the setting tab. you should see 2 things. 1 on the left side a there should be a slider bar that says screen resolotion and on the right side a drop down bar that says color quality. what you will want to do is.make sure that color quality bar is on the option (highest) 32 bit than on the left side you will need to slide the slider bar to the right to the highest point. than click apply. this will reconfigure your screen and give you about 14 seconds to accept it or not. if it is to small then slide the bar back to the left slightly until you are satisfied with the size.
Now if you are not able to switch the color resolution to 32 bit you will need to download the graphics software from your personal computer (AKA: PC) manufacture website. and than switch the resolution. if you do not know how to do this please let me know and i will be glad to help you further. I will need the make, model and serial number of your computer as well as the operating system.
Please do not hesitate to ask for further assistance.
If you have a mouse with a wheel, hold down the CTRL key, and then scroll the wheel to zoom in or out.
If you click the Change Zoom Level button , it will cycle through 100%, 125%, and 150%, giving you a quick enlargement of the webpage.
From the keyboard you can increase or decrease the zoom value in 10% increments. To zoom in, press CTRL+PLUS SIGN (+). To zoom out, press CTRL+MINUS SIGN (-). To restore the zoom to 100%, press CTRL+0.
use this if using windows vista/windows 7
Set the zoom level in Magnifier. This can display objects on the screen up to sixteen times larger than actual size. Follow these steps to choose the magnification level that you want.
In the Scale Factor list, select a level. The zoom level in the Magnifier window will change right away. Adjust the level until it's right for you.
