go to canon.com and navigate to the support section. It should be easy to type in your printer's model number and find the drivers for it.

Here's your page, with a caution. I only see a Windows driver package for XP. Your printer may not be supported in Vista or W7. There's a link in Red lettering at the top of the Download box referring to W7 support. Take your time making sure you'll have compatibility.

This will help you find the necessary drivers (software) and information, so that you can install your printer even if you don't have a CD.

If you do not have the disk you download software from Internet, follow instructions below,

Click here:Official Lexmark Drivers and Software

A web page will open, follow instructions, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
Afterdownloading,findthefile,doubleclick on the file, if you get introubles ,thenfollowinstructionsbelowto reset and reinstall:

• Unplug printer USB.
• Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
• Download driver from website and run the file.
  
• Follow driver installation wizard.
• Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

Note: some printer does not work on Vista.

Unplug the printer and then start the installation, the installation will tell you when to plug in printer.

Try to install the printer again using the CD that was provided when you bought the printer. Here is a guide to start with the instalation process.

Try downloading the latest drivers for Vista from lexmark website here: http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:439:0:0 . if you have vista 64 you may need specifics drivers for vista 64.
