Maytag side by side msd2572ves02 not working and clicking noise

That clicking sound is the compressor trying to start. Pull off the lower back cover, so you can access the compressor (located underneath the fridge) and carefully remove the cover. There you will see a set of contacts where the clicking is coming from. Having the brand and model number, order a new compressor start kit and replace the old one. This will solve your problem.

MODEL# ARB2557CSL STARTED MKING CLKING NOISE TWO

Hello, this problem is going to be with the relay on the compressor or the compressor. Pull the refrigerator out and remove the bottom panel off the lower rear of the appliance. Behind the panel you will see the compressor. On the side of the compressor you will see the relay cover. remove the cover then pull the wire harness off. next give the relay a tug and it should pull off. Once you have the relay in your hand give it a shake. if the relay rattles then your problem is the relay. If the relay does not rattle then the problem is with the compressor. You should call a service guy. If you have any additional questions please feel free to comment. Mike

Whisling noise coming out of inside the refrigerator. Louder when freezer door is open. maybe ice maker area?

The whistling is caused by the air circulating fan located just behind the light. It is easily accessed by removing the light cover and the two small hex screws above the light. To stop the whistling I simply turned the freezer off and pulled the fan cover out slightly to reveal the fan blades. I then pushed the blades down, toward the bottom of the until the blades stopped and i could feel the shaft slightly protruding from the top of the blades. Repositioning the blade has stopped the incessant whistling. Hope this helps!

Clicking noise coming from whirlpool refrigerator

The clicking sound is a relay called PTC relay. You need to replace it. First be sure to unplug frig. Remove the cardboard cover that covers most backs of the frig units. Remove the plastic cover that is on the side of compressor. It is held on with a metal clip. Now you should be able to see the relay pry the relay straight off. note the wiring and position of relay. Only three prongs on compressor. Go to a parts house for appliance's and with your make and model number should be able to get a new one. Let me know if you need any more help. ken

Freezer not working

sounds like the clicking noise could be the overload on the compressor. pull off grill cover on bottom front of refrigerator check to see if condenser coil if blocked with lint and dust if it is clean it throughly it could cause the compressor to overheat and cause the refrigerator to thaw and the overlaod to make a clicking noise. hope this helps you out

Maytag refrigerator clicking noise and stopped working

How long a period of time have you noticed this noise? If it just started and the refrigerator just stopped it could have entered its defrost cycle. When the defrost heaters come on you may hear the heat causing some expansion. After a few minutes(18-22) the defrost cycle ends and the refrigerator will restart.
