The audio driver isnt properly installed/ not installed at all....

Install the audio driver from the CD u got along with PC...

It is possible that your computer doesn't have the audio driver for your device. For you to verify that you need to check it in the device manager.

If you are using windows xp
- click start
- click run
- type devmgmt.msc then press enter
- the device manager window will pop-up
- If you see any yellow question mark it means that there is no driver installed for that device, it's also possible that the audio driver is included there. (if that's the case then you can just install the audio driver for your computer using the CD that you have with the package)
- if you see a red x mark for the audio controller, that means that the audio device is disabled, to enable it, right click the disabled device and click on enable.

- Check the volume control of the computer if it's on mute or not

- Check your speakers if they are working or not, to prove it's working properly try to test it using your mp3 player. Check the audio cable if it's properly plugged in to your computer. Check the cable if the wiring is not broken. Or if you're only using the internal speaker, you can skip this step.

Are you certain you have no audio device in the PC? Have you checked the Bios to see if onboard sound is available?
