My ps3 wont play ps3 games it will play dvd movies, and ps2 games but will not load a single ps3 game!! what in the world is wrong with it i've only had it 3yrs. my ps2 I've had since well, forever I've throwed it about 30 ft. out the back door and shot it (thats rite SHOT IT) 3times and it lasted another 3 yrs. so whats wrong with my ps3????

LOL clean your eye if out of warranty try some cd cleaners first if not working then.your got a lot of stuff caked up on it. Trust me i've smoked mines out I had to open mines up and clean the eye off with a q-tip and alcohol.Worked for me then .But if it still don't work after that One thing left to do get another eye.Cost around 40-70 dollars easy to install yourself .Trust me You can do it don't let this so called experts tell you something thats going to cost you more money when it's that simple.

im not positive (in your case) that i am correct since other functions are still working but it may be that the laser lens is dirty. i know that youtube.com has great vids telling you exactly how to clean your ps3 laser lens and get your system up and running again.
