Will not play dvd's or ps2 games

This happens to me , Some games don't work on Some PS2 consoles for Example my friends Theme park world only works on a Slim PS2 and not a Proper Fat one , Wat type of PS2 do u have? and wat game r u trying to play?

Mine did the same thing "ps2 Glitch" The dvd player goes bad in them and the system will never again play dvd's just game's "get worn out" is what the company told me. I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE WARRENTY Fustrating But I have 2 that only play game's and one that still is holding out. SRY time to buy another one

ps3 games are not supose 2 play ps2 games

you need a firmware update

as your firmware is damaged.

dont worry. this will just take a bit long time but once you start system uppdate it will automatically
download the firmware and update it.

buy a new ps2 cause its gone cost the same by the time you buy the part and have someone to fix it

If it updated then some of the PS2 games are not "reverse-compatible".

Have you tried other discs? then if the other discs don't work and has the same outcome, prolly, it is with your PS2...

try changing the dvd drive speed in the system configuration, it may be at standard, change it to fast

can you jsut start the sytem without a disk in it , and put all the settings back to defult ?

If your PS2 is chipped for playing PS2 fake games then try the following steps: 1)Insert the DVD movie in your PS2 and hold the power button of PS2 until it light goes red. 2)Now again hold the power button until the light turns in green. and after that your DVD movie should work. ________________________________________________ If above solution does not works replace the lens with a new one.
