Hooking up PS 3 to older tv. What channel does the tv have to be on to play I have tryed 3 tvs

You'd be much better off just hooking up to the older TV directly instead of trying to run an input on the broken TV and then direct the output through another TV.

You can always find cheap video adapters to connect to the older TV if needed.

How many sets RCA ports (for Video 1 / Video 2 so on and on) does your TV have?

Perhaps your dvd player output is set for channel 3 so you have to select that channel for the dvd player to play on your tv. Some older analog tvs have a separate input for dvd on the back or front. In that case you have to select that setting from the tv menu

The yellow cable needs to go to video.The red and white are left and right speakers or stereo.Usually there is a yellow for video,the cable doesnt have to be yellow, another red or white will work.It just needs to be in the video jack or output.

You need one more cable for video.Also be sure your tv is set to the correct input for the wii to work.Possibly it may need to be on channel 3 or 4. Or if the tv is newer try component or any input available in the tvs setup menu.

games dvds vcrs on older tvs set to channel 3 or 4 and on newer tvs you need to set your remote to video

check your using the correct AV channel for the connection. Try another input connector eg Scart

you can not play that game on ch3-4 you have an audio/video plug on thhe back of tv you have to change the tv tv the a/v settig or on some tvs the game setting

We have a pretty good signal when we use the antenna but when we hook up the converter box we get no channel weak signal no channels we have a amplipher on it it does not help .

it might work like older tvs where u use a menu button to go through settings then u change settings i have an older tv and it is frustrating

If you want to use a PS2 with an RCA stereo monitor Colortrak plus television, folllow these steps:
1.Buy a universal remote compatible with RCA televisions if you don't have the original.
2.If your remote needs programming, program it with the manual provided.
3.Goto Menu
4.Goto Alarm
5.Goto Alarm Channel
6.Set Alarm Channel to 00
7.Exit Menu
8.Goto channel 00 on the television by using the remote.
9.You should be in AV mode, and able to play your PS2.
P.S. I don't know if you need to set Alarm Channel to 00, but that's how i did it.
