Phone 4s will not shut off, keeps rebooting

You will want to try to put the device into recovery mode and perform a restore. You can follow Apple troubleshooting article HT1808 to walk you through putting the device into recovery mode. NOTE: Check for any backups before you put device into recovery mode as you will not be able to backup once it is in recovery mode. If the device has been jailbroken and recovery mode does not fix the issue the hardware has been damaged by corruption and should be replaced.

Stuck in recovery mode

Your device might have broken Volume buttons, due to this, once you turned on your device it will automatically go to recovery mode. Note that recovery mode can only be accessed when the device is powered off, and turning on the device while pressing the power button and volume down will directly go to recovery mode.

Try checking your device volume if it is pressing or pushed down, or better send it to a technician for diagnosis.

There are also several reasons why your device directly go to Recovery mode, either your phone software is crashed or your phone hardware is broken.

Sansa sandisk e260 ---- i've formated it while in USB mode, it said it was successful but then when it started back up now only shows "load main image failed switch to recovery mode" --- my issue is, i'm...

Hi Mr .

  1. 1 Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
  2. 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
  3. 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
  4. 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
  5. 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
  6. 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

Sansa Player - Unrecognized USB Device

alrigth it seems like you have formatted the recovery partition
if your sansa are working .. well if it´s starts then you should try
to go into recovery mode by having hold (on) and push rec button while starts the mp4 if it comes into recovery mode there then you can relese the rec button and connect the mp4 to the computer there you should see a device (15-16 mb ) in there it should be a file named : pp5022.mi4 you may try reset your sansa ( change the pp5022.mi4 file) you can download from http://chrisjs.com/PP5022.mi4

if you can´t come into reovery mode you got to do following
take it step by step and carefully read all twice before you starts:
you need to download ubuntu live cd learn more about that on www.ubuntu.com it´s is a open source os it´s free and anyone can change stuffs ect...
then burn ubuntu 7.10 to a cd or dvd
in the iso file i think after burning close the cd
and boot from the live cd with ubuntu so then when using ubuntu (you dont need to install it ) you do this :

There's four files you need to get, plus one you need to create. Copy and paste the following lines:
####
mkdir ~/e200t
cd ~/e200t
wget http://daniel.haxx.se/sansa/e200tool/e200tool
wget http://daniel.haxx.se/sansa/e200tool/i2c-e260.bin
wget http://daniel.haxx.se/sansa/e200/BL_SD_boardSupportSD.rom
wget http://chrisjs.com/PP5022.mi4
touch sansa.fmt
####

After everything finishes downloading, check the md5sum for each file:
####
md5sum *
####
That should return:

af26eb02fc3454f5264bb028107a2700 BL_SD_boardSupportSD.rom
d9f946067844e2a24fcbb6cfedb75057 PP5022.mi4
795cc4e75d38284a1460b840fc14967a e200tool
cecb257eeb64ceaae9cb20d9956a0bfc i2c-e260.bin
d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e sansa.fmt

If any of those lines don't match, redownload the file and check the md5sum again.

Then, make the e200tool file executable, switch to root (if you aren't already; enter password if needed), put your Sansa into Manufacturing mode, and program the i2c:
Keep in mind - there seems to be a 15 second timeout for Manu mode, so if you get a -71 error, try again.
####
chmod +x e200tool
sudo su
####
(Put sansa in Manu mode)
####
./e200tool init
./e200tool i2cprogram i2c-e260.bin
####
Also, you can use that i2c file even if you don't have an e260 - they're all the same.

I don't have a working Linux computer at the moment, but I believe at this point you need to turn your Sansa off. Hold power for 15 seconds, then go back to Manu mode.
Next, recover the bootloader to get to recovery mode:
####
./e200tool recover BL_SD_boardSupportSD.rom
####
When the display turns on, hold the REC button. If you don't get into recovery mode, try again.
Once in Recovery mode, place
i2c-e260.bin, BL_SD_boardSupportSD.rom, PP5022.mi4, and sansa.fmt
on the recovery mode drive.

Disconnect the sansa, turn off hold, and it should (hopefully) work. (chris did help me with this )
if you got any problems send a mail to [email protected] and write sansa e200 in top off message and try to say the problem if you got one let me know if you fix it it always fun :D
hopes this helps

Bad Track

Change the Mode on the device and try to format again.

SETTINGS>MODE or USB MODE.

If that doesnt work. This will;

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

http://rapidshare.com/files/67740173/e200fw01.00.12.exe____

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.

- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.

Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.

Help

You may have to put this device in recovery mode and apply a force format file to it.  If you have put songs on from Limewire or any other infamous bad source, that is prob the culprit. The sandisk website has the file you can add to the player.  Recovery mode is simply:
1. put on the hold button
2. while holding the record button in, plug into computer at the same time and keep holding the record button in until you see recovery mode on the player

after you do this, you can drop the format file on the player by going to my computer and locating the 16MB icon, then drag and drop the file on the player.
Once you have done this, unplug the player and take off the hold button, and it will reboot itself and format itself to the neutral state from the factory setting.

Recovery mode

Recovery mode won't help you unless you have the recovery files to go with it. Most likely you will need to re-install the firmware on to the device. Download this "recovery tool" from the SanDisk website and run it with your device connected in recovery mode. Make sure you select "format" when prompted. Tool is here; http://sandisk.com/assets/file/downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe Recovery mode - power off device. Slide "hold" switch into hold position. Press and hold "record" button and then connect to PC.(keep record button pressed until after connected to pc) Hope this helps.
