I need driver for x73 for vista

Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark X73 printer driver on your computer. Select your operating system > click on "FILTER" > click on the driver under Recommended Downloads > download and execute the file. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.

Not finding a Vista driver to be available from Lexmark x73. They only show the XP driver. You can get this driver free here: http://download.cnet.com/Lexmark-X73/3000-2116_4-22576.html?tag=mncol

One, try installing printer without the XP driver. Lexmark may have provided a quailifying driver with Vista hardware setup wizard. If it does not work or wizard cannot locate a driver, try the XP driver.

Beyond this, you may have to talk to tech support at Lexmark or repost here for another expert.

The original Cd would likely not contain the proper "Vista" Driver if that's what you are using.

Good idea! Uninstall the Lexmark software. (Restart windows).
Before you reinstall the driver software download this free cleaning software & run it.

(Restart windows again when it has finished cleaning).
Rather than using your CD's go to the link & download the driver software. I'm not sure if your CD is the same (Date wise) or if the web site's software is the latest. Re-install the driver software.
While at the Lexmark link above, scroll down to the drivers section.
You'll see that Lexmark does not support Vista. From forum post others with the same printer post it will not function with Vista.

Unplug the printer and then start the installation, the installation will tell you when to plug in printer.

ok..go here for some new drivers..find the lexmark icon, enter your model number and then operating system..and you might be good to go.

remove the existing printer from control panel before installing new drivers.

i have lexmark z600 printer i have cd but it can install on old microsoft 98 but now i have windows vista so how can i install in this widows

I to have a X73 and love it .............but for the price of new ink (I have seen them for $39.99 to $49.99) you can get a new lexmark all in one! After spending two days trying all different drivers I think that is what I will be doing.
