Screen colors are splotchy in defined areas. When looking at something white on the right side of the screen, there are light green splotches, The pattern remains the same no matter what the picture. What needs to be fixed?

Faults & possible causes to LCD screen are given with illustrations. You can get an idea about the fault to an extent. Search the site by type in the Brand Name of your set, in its search bar at the right side column, and press enter. See it in Webview with mobile or by desktop. Mobile View has no search box.

My pentax k1000 has a black splotch in viewfinder, does not show up in images.

It would depend on exactly where the splotch is. If it's on the outside of the viewfinder, you could simply clean it off with a damp cloth (and maybe some Windex or Formula 409). If the eyepiece is damaged, you can order a replacement part here.

Remove the lens and look at the mirror. If their is something on the mirror, you can carefully clean it. The mirror is very sensitive and vulnerable to scratching. If the reflective coating has been removed then you'll need a new mirror.

Look up at the bottom of the focusing screen. That's the more-or-less clear piece of glass that the mirror will reflect light from the lens onto. If there's a splotch on the outside, you can clean it off.

Those are the parts you can get to. If the splotch is on something on the inside, then you'll have to take the camera to a good camera shop to have a trained professional disassemble and clean it.

Yellow spots on samsung lna40a450

Are you a smoker? Is the Kitchen close?
Try cleaning the screen first; At least twice Use very, very soft cloth
and do not use glass cleaner, buy the stuff meant for tv its cheap enough
If that fails hope you still have the warranty and exchange it. Not worth fixing to expensive unless you have warranty

Blothes of color in center and right side of screen. Very noticable when it's a light background.

May have burned CRT(s), (if you are not talking about convergence.) Burned CRT shows when that CRT (R,G,orB), does not show in an area of the screen where it should. Check bright white color = full R, G, and B CRT brightness. Gray = mid RGB brightness. Yellow = R+G(no B), Blue-green = B+G, no R, etc.

Hp dv6000 screen looks splotchy, colors are all grainy (wormy) and have weird swirls in them and it's a bit out of focus. I replaced the screen with a new one, and it looked normal for about 3 minutes,...

It could also be the hardware issue with the display.
Check in BIOS to confirm:

1.Please power ON the notebook, Keep tapping F10 as soon as you power it ON.
2.Press the F9 key to reset the BIOS defaults, it will ask to restore defaults. Hit Yes.
3.Press F10 and save the changes.
In BIOS please check if you can see the splotch, If the screen is same in BIOS then it is hardware issue, service the notebook.

If you do not see the screen flickering in the BIOS then please perform BIOS update and graphics drivers update
