PSP Screen wont Come on, But sound and backlight does, WTF HELP!!!

Ok, so the Sinopsis is this: We were out for dinner when my PSP Fell out of my pocket, maybe 2 feet, and WHAM! Everyone looked at me, so I picked it up, put it back together (The Battery, Memery Stick, and Battery Cover all came out, so did the Game) And turned it on.

Blank Screen.

The Back light turns on, So does the sound. At first I thought something was broken inside, so I unscrewed it and peeked inside. Nothing. And I didnt HEAR Anything when it was together Either, SO I think its NOT The inside.

The next thing I realized is that the LCD Screen (The thing that wont turn on) IS NOT CRACKED Or Scratched or anything.

Is there A Button or setting that Turns the Screen off? My father has a PSP So I could use his to navigate mine to certain settings, and all the buttons work too.

This is a NEW StarWars WHITE Darth Vader Eddition PSP, and a week later its broken.

Christmas is in 3 Days, and I just found Out I am getting some games for it eventhough I didnt ask for any (I wonder why...) and I'll feel really guilty if I have to tell my Dad, because this happened almost a Month ago.

I didnt do anything about it cus I thought Maybe it had overheated or something, so someone, PLEASE Help me, I am seriously BEGGING You to help, or ill have ot go to my dad and tell him its broken

PSP internal screen cracked!!!

I recommend seeing an expert. I heard that to replace the internal screen only costs about 20 dollars if you do it yourself. You should look into buying a new screen(internal) but about the leaking LED's you should really try to see an expert or get some support from Sony.

No display problem

You might have the broken LCD.. If you not sure, try to boot under recovery menu - (if you have custom firmware installed). if the problem come from corrupted firmware you should see the menu of recovery.. then goto menu "Advance" > "Format flash1 and reset setting". otherwise you may consider sending it back to Sony for repair. You can call SONY support at 1-800-345-7669.

hopefully this help.! Pls post back should you need additional information, and also Show your Appreciation, to help other USER. http://e-arena.blogspot.com.

No screen

The backlight is probably gone. Just had same problem on my sons one. I purchased a replacement off ebay seems a simple enough job to do if you are sort of tech minded.
