I have a fat ps2 with a rumble controler problem

I have a fat ps2 model number and the controller ports don't recognize that i have a controller that has the rumble feature on i select the vibrate feature in the games menu and i start to play it(flat out 2)and when ever i hit a car or hit a wall the controller dosent buzz or vibrate and i have tested the rumble feature on my ps2 useing the sam controlers and they worked fine on my ps1 useing nascar 04

Just keep ure ps2 safely and always shining . so always clean ur ps2 and make the best use of controllers carefully

I have a PS2 slim. Bought it in October 12 th 2010, already wired with matrix chip thus no warranty. Used it roghly 1 or 2 hours per day untill December 15 th. Then we travelled abroad, for a 3 weeks...
HelloStill dust do get in. I would try to use some high alcohol and clean the port properly. Clearly is a contact issue.

Hi, this might help you:

This is not so easy, and depends on how skilled you are in configuring pc's, but here i go:

go to Control panel> system>system properties> device manager

in this screen you can find information about stuff like what devices are recognized by your pc.

try and seek wether your ps2 devices are recognized an if so, if the system can control them to.

if not it might also be your usb ports or similar ports that aren't decently controled and por recognized by your pc, so make sure they work fien to by trying other devices on the same ports.

PS2 black console does not communicate with controllers
Sounds like you have wireless Controllers. Be sure your batteries are good on the Controller and the controller is turned on, LED should light. Plug the receiver into the controller jack, and it should light up at least one LED. If you have channel number selector, set it to the same number on the controllers, channel selector.

If old wired controllers will work, then you have dud wireless controllers. I know that cheap poor quality wireless controllers exist out there. You may have a dud. I also know that sometimessomething kills the controller ports on the PS2. The only way to know is to hook a wired controller you know works into the port to see if the port is good or bad.

How to connect mc2 racing wheel to ps2
The MC2 wheel should have a wire with several connectors on the end. One of the connectors should be identical to a PS2 controller connector. Use this instead of the controller.
My MC2 did not work at first. It is not the wheels fault! PS2 steering wheels are powered, a fuse often goes out in the PS2. Regular controllers will work, but anything powered will not.
Controller rumble requires power as well. If the rumble no longer works on the controller then the wheel will not work either.

Ps2 multi tap installation
Hi,
1 of 2 problems.
1:- the port on the console has a fault, do they work normally when a single controller is in them ?
2:- bad or broken connection in the multi-port itself.
