The Playstation 1 is pretty old and may have been damaged since it's not that tough of a machine like the ones we have today.

I suggest just buying a newer console...

the only thing i can think of at this moment is to visit
i will keep looking for the instructions, you wouldnt of by any chance acidentally dropped it did you or have fairly heavy stuff on top of it, it can short out the circuitry and tire out the spinner

When you say nothing is working do you mean that the power indicator on the game console is not illuminated? Or does it not show up on the TV?

Most likely doesn't work them, PS One was known to have the disc reader get stuck and create issues with start up and disc reading. Your best bet is to call the company and hope they can give you some customer support.

The cd rom motor is burned out. Buy a new ps1 on ebay for cheap.

Your cooling vents may be plugged up or the fan may have died. Get a can of compressed air and clean out all the vents and fan. You can also use a vacuum with a hose attachment to clean it.

just do what i did call playstation support tell them the problem and send it back for repairs my ps3 was doing the same thing it wasn,t the lens that wasn,t reading the disc it was the disc drive that wasn,t moveing check it out
