My Samsung LE46M53BD LCD won't display a picture; only have sound! Would it be T-CON Board? It was beepin' before the picture went off.

Have you heard of 'T-Con boards'? Where could one obtain parts from for this model. Maybe a second hand shop?

I would check back light inverter board first and then will check T-Con board for said problem because TV beeps before picture went off.
Please make sure TV has back light in LCD then it can be problem of T-Con board and if there is no back light then check back light inverter and its supplied volts from power supply.
T-Con and other boards can be purchased in local TV parts shops.
Thanks.

A very common problem with LCD TVs is that the backlight can malfunction, either because the lamp (fluorescent, usually) is burned out, or the inverter that powers it is malfunctioning or burned out.

Unfortunately, this isn't something you can repair yourself, and you need to take it into a shop to get it fixed. If it's under warranty still, it should be fixed for free.

They should last longer than 18months. I've had an LCD TV for about 4 years.. so far I've had no problems. (crossing my fingers!)

Samsung un50h6201 no pic has backlight & sound. mother bd & t-con replaced no change. turns ON but not OFF with power button. works with remote. 12.75 vdc from power bd. Thanks.

It could be the LCD panel, to test it, disconnect the two cables between the T-CON board the the panel buffer board one by one, when one cable is disconnected to see if the panel display half picture or not.

Samsung 46" lcd tv changed t-con brd 5-mnths ago worked fine. started showing up/dwn pixel lines the went white. sound is great pic is white. what board would I chang now? mdl:ln46a530p1f

It sounds like your T-Con board went out again. You might re-seat your ribbon cables just in case you didn;t get them in good from the last repair. If that doesn't help I would say that your T-con board went out again.

Samsung LCD TV, no picture, but sound and backlights work. Not t-con board. Any ideas what it could be?

Black screen on lcd

Probably need a Main Board. Take it to an Authorized Samsung repair shop for troubleshooting. T-con would be another possibility and I've even seen the LCD Panel bad on this model

Samsung lcd

See if it is on all inputs and modes. If so, unfortunately it is because it is a failure of the T-con board on the LCD Panel. If you are lucky, the T-Con board might be available but usually the only way to fix it is to replace the whole LCD panel. This is because the T-cons are rarely available by themselves. The LCD panels usually cost $500-$3000 depending on the model while the t-con is about only 1/10 of the price.
