Re: sound different and does not heat with full force
The fan is not working. it is necessary for the fan to run to cool the magnetron tube. do not use till repaired as prolonged lack of cooling will destroy tube

Question edited for full 'make model (what it is)'.
Nothing exists like that online, but they all sound the same. If sound is an issue, it would be better for you to go to a bricks and mortar store to check them out working.
When you say it just hums, do you mean that it sounds like it is running but isn't heating? Or do you mean that the sound is different from when it normally runs? Is it quieter or noisier than normal? Do you hear the fan running or is that sound missing?
IF it sounds normal (or about the same as when it worked), but it's nust not heating, then it is probably a bad magnetron tube.
If the microwave oven is 10 years old then it is time to consider a new unit, by your description it is going into cascade failure where different parts have stopped working, the buzzing sound is the magnetron warning you, it is about to fail. The fans job is to keep the magnetron cool while it is running.
I'm guessing you might mean model KCMS185JSS0, KCMS185JSS1, KCMS185JSS2, KCMS185JSS3, or KCMS185JSS5?
To allow us to help you effectively (at no charge), please post a NEW problem to FixYa, and please
include your brand name and the full model number from the tag in or on
the unit, your symptoms ("won't heat"), as well as the answers to these questions:
- When you try to microwave are the inside light, internal cooling fan and turntable all working?
- Is there any unusual noise or is it louder or quieter than normal?
We have a sound clip here of what a microwave should sound like when the cooling fan and high voltage section are working. (A loud buzz, hum, or groan is usually a
shorted high voltage rectifier diode, but a sound like gurgling into an
empty coffee mug is one symptom of a failed magnetron, and yet the mag can
be bad without that sound.) - If yours is making an odd noise, which does it sound like?
BUT If you or someone you know wants to go ahead check out the diode and magnetron, see these links:

the safety warnings first: http://www.gallawa.com/microtech/diode.html (if it is NOT shorted or burned looking,
it's probably fine)
