Not sure what make/model you have, but I once had a Hotpoint Refrigerator with a "hidden" light switch. There was a small pushbutton out of sight, up near the light bulb. I inadvertently pushed it while dispensing water or ice, and it took me a couple of days to figure it out.

SOURCE: Tank full light stays lit.

Under the water bottle is a drain hole, when the bottle overflows water runs down this hole through a pipe to a reservoir behind the condensor unit, there is a float in this reservoir that rises and clicks a switch that activates the full tank light and stops the machine working,
removing the stopper at the rear and emptying the reservior should do the trick,If the float does not go back down due to dirt in the machine the left hand side panel can be removed by taking off the top then the retaining screws, one inside at the top the rest in the back panel, remove the one screw holding the float switch unit and clean the black float.(Make sure it's not plugged in)

Check the hose from the detergent tray to the drum to make sure that it is free from debris.

First take the top off by removing 2 screw in the back(Top right and Top left). Slide the top off and underneath the tray, feel around the tube to see if there is any blockages. You may have to pull the hose out.

Whirlpool refrigerator ED2FHEXNQ00 - water shoots out the front

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!
I ACCEPT NO LIABILITY FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.
YOU CAN BE KILLED IF YOU DON'T UNPLUG THE REFRIGERATOR!!!! EVEN AFTER UNPLUGGING IT, BE PRUDENT TO NOT TOUCH BARE WIRES OR TERMINALS.

If it is like my Kenmore, there are two solenoids at the back bottom right (facing the back) of refrigerator where the water supply connects to the refrigerator, and it sounds as if both solenoids (one for water dispenser and the other for ice maker) are energized at the same time as though the hot wires to the solenoids are shorted together. Possibly, if the replacement icemaker is not an exact replacement, a wiring difference might cause this short. ONLY IF YOU ARE QUALIFIED TO DO ELECTRICAL WORK will I suggest the following. YOU CAN BE KILLED IF YOU DON'T
UNPLUG THE REFRIGERATOR!!!! Disconnect one wire at a time by pulling and wiggling from side to side if the connectors are fastons , and with an ohm meter check for a short between the two hot wires of the solenoids. Remember where each wire goes. To determine which are the hot wires first measure each wire to a bare metal place on the refrigerator. Continuity between the wires (2) to the bare metal indicates ground. The remaining 2 wires are the hot wires. Continuity between these wires indicates they are shorted together, which is the cause of your problem. Seek out the short. Since I am not an expert myself, the preceding suggestion may not work if the short only occurs at the time that the icemaker calls for water.

Why is water sitting in soap dispenser pullout drawer?

Water remaining in soap dispenser. In front loading washers made by LG (some Kenmore too), water may remain filled in the soap dispenser after the wash cycle. This may be caused by the siphon tube being contaminated by detergent residue. To clear it, remove the siphon cover from the tube, and clean them thoroughly, making sure that all residue is removed. Replace the cover and make sure it seats properly all the way down. This will ensure that the siphon starts and continues until the dispenser tray is emptied. A small amount of water, a half inch or less, remaining is normal. There is a video on YouTube that suggests buying a new detergent tray. Try cleaning it first. There are no parts that will break or wear out under normal use.

Water leak electrolux

Good Morning atgltd,

So I understand that your water dispenser continues to release water for several minutes after pouring a glass of water and that it also randomly dispenses water. It sounds like something could be going on with either the dispenser module or the water actuator. Give the refrigerator a hard reset. You can do this by either unplugging it or by switching the breaker off that it is connected to. Leave it off for 3-5 minutes. Connect the power back, and if you are still having the same troubles of the dispenser releasing water, I would suggest that you contact a local authorized technician to see what exactly is causing the water to continuously dispense.

-Best Regards-

Can't light pilot light on hot water service. Gas to property is connected as the gas stove works.

There should be a trouble shoot guide on the hot water tank. I have had to do this many times. You just need to read the trouble shooting guide & be very careful. I hope this works for you.

Whirlpool Duet washer the water dispenser motor doesn't change. No water dispensed over fabric softener or bleach compartments.

1. level unit. 2. verify dispensor drawer is not plugged with detergent. 3.3.Check water hose, connections and screens in hose for blockage. 4.4.Unplug washer and check mechanical linkage installation of dispensor motor. 5. check continuity from the dispensor motor and CCU connector. 6.Check resistance of dispensor motor. get online diagnostic manual part no. W10207732A to get repair and diagnostic trouble shooting guide. Sounds complicated but is not. Also check for broken or burnt wiring/connections. Unplug and check brainbos for burned circuits/resistors. Also check your grounds. Very critical for electronics to function.

Water is too cool for shower. Is there a thermostat?

I do not believe there is a separate thermostat. However the installation guide: http://www.eemaxinc.com/assets/files/FLOCO-install.pdf gives some trouble-shooting steps. More detailed trouble-shooting is here: http://www.eemaxinc.com/assets/files/floco-trouble.pdf

If the indicator light is off when the hot water valve is open: check your circuit breaker and the flow rate of water into the water heater (it must be over 1/2 gallon per minute). If those are okay, check the resistance of the element with a multimeter - 20 Ohms or less is good, 10,000 Ohms or so indicates a bad element. The trouble-shooting guide indicates the proper points to test.

If the indicator light is on, then check the flow rate at the shower head or faucet (reduce the flow until the water comes out hot), check that the unit is installed to the correct voltage supply and the resistance of the element.

If those are okay, then check that the printed circuit board is correctly installed and that the inlet filter isn't clogged.

After that, it's call the company for their technical support.
