put a heater probe into the drain hole part number WR51X10052
go here to see it
stick it into the drain hole to see how far it will go without hitting anything, then rap the other end around the heater, when the heater comes on to defrost the fridge the metal heats up and stops the drain from freezing, also after you steam it and this is what i use it's the best way to do this, pour hot water down the drain and make sure it goes down and out,if you remove the back bottom panel check the bottom of the drain hose sometimes dust gets in the bottom of the hose where it bends or it's like a trap on bottom of hose, just check it to make sure it's clear,if it is and you put the heater probe in you should be all set,you can make a probe out of copper wire that's in the middle of regular house wire if you have any, just remove like 6 inches of the copper stick it into the drain hole and rap the other end around the heater will do the same thing, hope this helps you out.

indicates that the door seal is not doing the job or the freezer door is being opened too often
What you are seeing is the humidity turning to ice after the door is closed

Hello, Gabrielle -

Since the refrigerator is new, it is probably under warranty. You or your father will need to check the warranty information which came with the refrigerator and either contact the store or online business where it was purchased or contact Whirlpool directly - whatever the printed warranty information states to do.

The refrigerator will probably need to be inspected by an authorized Whirlpool repair person.

Check the line going from the back of the fridge through the freezer wall. Sometimes you can get a chunk of ice in the line. Also, did you check to make sure the solenoid valve works? Disconnect the solenoid valve outlet and when there is a demand for water, it should click and water should flow

No! Gas leakage is only caused by bad joints, stress cracks or holes in the pipework. Also bad seals on the compressor.

The only 'motor' is the condenser fan motor. The other sort of motor is the Compressor.

I would cut your losses, ask them to recover all the parts installed and give you credit and buy a new refrigerator. The reasoning is that their diagnosis did not fix the problem.

if the fault is in the contactor, then u will not hear a click from the solenoid. if u hear the click and no water it might be the solenoid. solenoids fail very often, they corrode or clock inside.
if u press the handle and do not hear a click and no water then u have to check the electrical circuit for continuity at the solenoid.
my guess: the solenoid

Hi I t seems like the Defrost timer is not working or is stuck. It could also be the defroster coil but probably not. The timer is located in the front of the refer where the toe kick is . remove the toe kick, check for a square or rectangle box with a big plug on the back. that is probably it. Check with the appliance zone online you need the Mod. # for the parts blow up. look for the defrost timer on the print. that will also show where it is located with a part #. you can then price it out . It is not too hard to install be sure to unplug it before removing any wiring.
Good Luck, Bill

that's just a top mount fridge so if you don't have any ice on the inside back wall of freezer and the fan and compressor is running you could have a freon leak,is everything running if not what isn't running?if you noticed that it has been getting warmer over time remove everything out of the freezer, remove the back inside wall of the freezer, look at the evaporator coil,if you see ice just on top of the coil where the freon lines connect to the evap coil then you have a freon leak, the coil should have an even frost pattern covering the entire coil,if you hear a clicking sound coming from the back then the compressor might not be running, remove the back bottom cover, there's a start device on the compressor part number WPW10448874 the easiest way to check this part is simply unplug the machine remove the start device off of the compressor and shake it,if you hear pieces jingling inside it the device is cooked, you can check it with a meter, you have to write back and let me or whoever might help you know what is going on with it so we can try to help you out,you write the freezer isn't cold and that can be from alt of things, touch the compressor is it red hot or cold?is it running or not, write back
