Check the 3 micro switches actuated by the door lock assembly. You will find that one of these switches is not working properly. You may find that a plunger does not click in and out like the others. Or you may find signs of overheating at the connections. Be careful, take your time when removing these switches. They at held in by a plastic tab that can easily be broken.

SOURCE: My Panasonic 1300w microwave will not turn off. It doesn't cook but won't turn off without actually unplugging it or opening the door and leaving it open. Any help?

You may have a shorted door switch or a shorted relay on the control board.

Microwave genius sensor 1300w

I don't believe it is possible to change the display angle/tilt on this microwave. The unit ships with a protective film over the display that should be removed to make the display easier to read. However, this model is known to be difficult to read unless looking at straight-on. That and needing a flashlight to look at your food with the door open since the internal light does not stay on when door is opened. Good luck!.

Our Panasonic NN-S763BF microwave turns on (light goes on, table turns and fan goes on) automatically when we open the door even though the clock is displayed. It works normally when the door is shut....

You have a faulty interlock switch (which the door operates).
This needs to be renewed by a qualified microwave service technician ASAP.
A potential hazard if not fixed immediately!

Microwave is still running when the door is open

The cooling fans run for a time after the magnatrons have stopped, The magnatrons are the heating components so I dont think you are in any danger as the microwave doors are double locked so the magnatrons cant run once the door is open

What cause the wattage difference?

Wattage is based upon voltage & current. I would think that on the 1300W unit, either the voltage or the current is higher than that which is used on the 1200W unit.

Perhaps the magnetron in the 1300W unit is being driven harder. Are the fans the same size?, The magnetron in the 1300W could be running harder and they have a larger fan in it.

In any event, if the part numbers are the same, you should have no trouble using one units parts to fix the other.

Good luck!
