How is there still power running through electric socket when the main breaker was turned off?

I was replacing a compete wall electric socket and when I removed the wires from the old socket, my screw driver touched the wires and sparks went every where and messed up my screw driver. I turned off the main breaker before I started.

In some cases outlets are wired tandem meaning that each of the two outlets on the socket are wired to a different breaker. Or your main breaker is defective, You should always test outlets to confirm they are off before touching wiring, even if you turn of the main switch. Better to spend a few seconds testing than the last 2 seconds of your life wishing you had.

Why does it trip breaker?

Can often be just the element in the oven that has gone faulty. Try disconnecting the element (usually can be done from inside the front of the oven), isolate the spade connectors and then turn on. If it doesnt trip then you know it is the element. £10 or so on ebay gets you a new one

No power to Whirlpool awo/d5727. I have checked the fuse and the socket but still have no power.

You say you checked "socket" and the "fuse," did you mean the AC wall outlet (115V) and a fuse or breaker in the main power panel?
Nearly all circuits involving water are protected by a Ground Fault Interrupter that can be servicing several wall outlets (perhaps one not near the washing machine) or can be located as part of a circuit breaker in your main power panel.
The GFI outlets will have one or two push buttons located between the outlets and a combination GFI/overcurrent breaker will also have at least one button where others will have none.
If you find one that is tripped, try resetting it. If it will not reset, unplug the washing machine and try again.
If it now stays on, your machine may have an electrical path causing it to trip and using an unprotected outlet may be unsafe and an indication that the appliance itself may have electrical leakage which could be otherwise dangerous.
The circuit breakers in the main power panel can also fail (they didn't 20 years ago) and we have replaced 3 in a home only 5 years old already so they are not made well anymore.

My pool pump trips main circuit breaker sometimes when it turns off

Get a new electrician! The pool pump should be on its own isolated circuit, usually on no larger than a 30 amp GFCI protected breaker. You said it was replaced but he only treated the symptom, not the cause. This one will take on site troubleshooting to find out why your whole house is affected.

My maytag electric dryer has worked perfectly fine for 10 years. today i unplugged the dryer and did some work on the wall. when i plugged the dryer back in it tripped the breaker. could it be the dryer or...

You already unpluged before the wall work, so the problem is isolated from the dryer from its plug. Take off the wall socket to inspect since it may have damaged. If you have the voltmeter, measure each pair of the terminal. they should have a voltage at least 110V since it is three-phase voltage. If there is no voltage then just replace the socket. Make sure to turn main power off when you do the replacement.

How to remove simpson wall oven with cable

Not if you can access you main electrical panel. You should be able to turn off the 50 Amp Double Pole Breaker that provides power to the wall oven/ Note, sometimes it's a 40 or a 60 amp breaker depending on the age and requirements for the wall oven.

You should be able to turn off the breaker and safely remove the oven and disconnect the wiring connections once you pull the oven out of the opening. Be sure to fully tape each wire once you disconnect them from the oven to prevent an accidents - also, LEAVE THE BREAKER OFF until the new oven has been properly installed!

IF you aren't sure which breaker it is and really want to be ultra safe, you can shut off the main breaker, but you'll be without power until you've got the oven removed and have safely taped each conductor with SEVERAL wraps of electrical tape to prevent contact with the bare conductors.

Hope you found this very helpful and best regards!

How do I remove an old dishwsher? The electrical wiring?

Is this wired directly to the Breaker/fuse box?
Or is there an electrical outlet socket under the sink that this plugs into?
Possibly for the former you may need to turn off the breaker, remove the fuse to turn off the power. Unscrew the machine where it is attached to the counter and pull it out from the counter. Where the wire is attached to the machine, unscrew it and remove it from the machine. The machine's drain hose should be removed from the drain where it is attached to the disposal or the drain pipe. Then you can discard the old machine.
If there is an electric socket that the power is plugged into unplug and follow the rest of the procedure. Otherwise after removing the machine, get an electrician to install a plug outlet so that your new machine can be plugged into the wall socket and alleviate this problem in the future.
