How to repair a wall socket that has stopped working.

Main computer board replace or look for bad connections

check the power cord has not got a short or loose connection in the wall socket, if its ok it will be the power to the motor, loose connection or motor requires new brushes inside

Most plug covers have been designed in a way with safety shutters that stops kids from accessing the live terminals. But just to be sure, you can buy plastic plug covers that can be plugged into the socket. They cover all the holes and are very difficult to remove with child hands. When you're ready to use that plug socket you just remove the plastic cover.

try putting a new socket on your wall or wherever its at
and if that doesnt work change the whole wired part of the wall and put in a new one in

Check switch. replace switch. If switch checks out, then replace disposal to avoid risk of overheating and in-wall short.

Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the dishwasher (inside the junction box, behind the bottom kick panel), if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.

Maybe your battery is totally drained.

Try to connect the AC adaptor of your laptop and plug it to the wall outlet and let it charge for 3 hours or more. When you plug it on the wall socket, it won't show the laptop's led blinking since it was totally drained. But after 3 minutes or more, it will start to show the blinking led to indicate charging. When blinking stops led light disappears, it is fully charged and ready to use.

Remember: Do not use your laptop while it is plugged in to save your battery life. When at home, remove the battery while it is fully charged and plug the AC adaptor directly to the wall outlet. It will still work without the battery as long as it is plugged directly to the wall socket.

Simply try another power chord, if you are sure the chord is not faulty, try to plug in the monitor to another wall socket. If the monitor is not working on any wall socket, call customer service of the manufacturer and get it repaired
