Should be white plug and a red plug and a yellow plug . It could be plugged into component in rather than AV in . Looks almost the same the two different inputs . Component and AV. on the TV

When xbox is pluged in you can hear the sound but no picture is showing

Try jiggling/ twisting around the yellow av cord lead. I have the same problem with mine but you just need to spin the yellow av lead around untill you get a picture. If you still cannot see the xbox screen then i recomend you try on another T.V as it might be the av imput is not working. =]

Cant tune tv in to use xbox 360

Check the scart lead by substitution, try another source of input, (game machine or dvd player,) it,s not uncommon to find bad solder joints on the print, where the scart socket is soldered to the mother board of the telly. there is no tuning as such for scart sockets, but you can get them in the wrong mode? S-video etc? but you should, in that case, get some sort of picture. Good luck! Nick

No picture got sound tried to diffrent leads plugged the yellow into yellow white in to white red into red as my tv has the points on the side of it no lights on the front green or red

If your Xbox 360 does not have display you need to stop the heat getting to the chips. You can actually do this yourself as many have in this forum using the recommended Xbox 360 Repair guide.

Basically the guide will show you how to stop the heat build up with videos and household items, of course if you are in doubt send it in.

It has a preview video on the website.

Or of course you can send it in to have it fixed.

My xbox shows no picture but has sound

This might not help everybody but it might be a cheap fast solution to the "Xbox 360 no picture but sound ok" problem. I have old refurbished 360 that has had no problems at all. SInce I got it have used it with powerwave cooler attached to the back. This cooler has seperate Outputs for Vga, SVga, audio, component and av. Don't need the microsoft cable at all just standard cables. Always had it plugged in with VGA or SVGA cables and got great picture. I bought new 360 and put the old one in bedroom with old tv which only has av inputs. Got shocking picture that was unwatchable but sound was good. Tried all ways but no different. Seems the xbox plug has problems. If you get the powerwave cooler it splits the xbox output socket in to seperate outputs for everything so you can use it with Vga or Svga cables if your tv has those inputs and it should work fine. Only seems to be the standard AV outputs that have problems. Haven't tried the componet leads but I guess they might work as well. If you only have the old yellow, red and white AV inputs on your tv this wont help you but if you have the other types of inputs it might fix it. The powerwave cooler you should be able to buy for under $20 so it could be a cheap solution for this problem everyone seems to be getting lately. It works for me at least so get one and give it a try.

XBOX 360 NO PICTURE

if using hd tv then use the cable with the blue lead, if not using hd tv then use the red, white and yellow leads. If using the scart connection to put the leads into make sure that you have it set to the correct av or ext channel

Has sound but no video picture for game playing

try changing the av to another channel or if you have access to a front panel or side panel on the tv set, try using this for your av leads 'red' 'yellow' and 'white'. Also check that the av lead is correctly inserted into the back of the wii

No picture or sound on the tv

where you put the cables for the sound and picture if you look on the end where you plug it into the xbox 360 you will see a little switch it has HD and TV on it depending on what your tv supports (HD ready TV) (normal TV) switch that switch to what TV you have (e.g. HD TV, switch the switch to HD) if that doesnt work then try checking that you have all the cables in the right ports if you have pluged the HD cables into a normal TV then this is not going to work, check cables and check the switch!

Xbox 360 Elite compatible with 62' Mitsubishi HDTV?

I have it and it works great! For all TVs, the TV have to be on fixed settings on standard, dot-by-dot mapping, noise reduction off. The camera's exposure the same for both side-by-side shots. Just set it on standard and it should work...
