Canon MP780 has gone crazy!

It makes copies on its own without hitting buttons. It won't fax.
Seems to have a mind of its own. Worked fine until yesterday. I tried unplugging it overnight but same problem exists today.

Canon eos 600d, takes a picture on turning on and freezes. When I turn off and on again, it takes a picture again and freezes. Cannot access menu or any other button. how do I resolve this issue?

Camera electronics has developed a mind of its won and has gone crazy. You need to have it fixed or replaced whichever is cheaper.

Make sure the battery is good since many newer electronics operate erratically when the battery condition is not up to par.

My canon pixma mp780 is not responding. I unplugged the cable and replugged in, turned off the computer and it still is not reponding.

Make sure that your computer still sees the printer. Go to printers & faxes and check. If it is gone reinstall software.

Printer is not working

It is possible that the FAX in the memory is causing the problem. Try unplugging the printer from the wall and leave it off for a minute or two to see if it will clear the memory

Canon mp780 is stuck on fine mode and it will not

yes, first change the paper setting button to normal, then you can lower the image quality on copies.

My incoming faxes won't print. both black ink cartridges r full

Is there any message when you try to print the faxes?

If there is an "Image Quality" message, probably the printer is set up to "Copy" in "Photo" or "Fine" mode and it needs to be set to something other than "Fine" or "Photo"

MP780 copy mode/resolution

Mine was stuck on fine photo resolution too and it wouldn't print in normal black. I tried lots of things and the only thing that seemed to work was pushing the photo button and then pushing the copy button again. Good luck.

Printer prints top 1" of page, then just spits out blank pages

If the printer works ok on another PC, it seems quite clear that the problem is definately software (Driver) related. If you haven't done so already, I recommend adding the printer through the Printer\Faxes Add Printer Wizard and pointing it to take the drivers off the install CD (if you have one) rather than installing the printer from the CD Autorun. Just make sure that you've deleted the printer completely from Printers\Faxes and rebooted before each install attempt.

I hope this helps!

Fax Not working

Copying Documents If you make copies of multiple documents at a time, the number of pages the fax can scan into memory varies depending on the scanning resolutions as follows: * STANDARD and FINE result in the same resolution when making copies
* If MEMORY FULL appears on the LCD when making copies, reduce the number of documents to be copied or reduce the amount of total copies.
  1. Lift up the document tray.

  2. Insert the top of the document, face up, into the ADF (1) until a beep is heard.
  3. Adjust the document guide to the width of the document.

  4. Press <Resolution> to select the resolution.
You can select [STANDARD], [FINE] or [PHOTO].
  5. Press <Start/Copy>.
  6. Enter the number of copies (up to 99) using the numeric buttons.
To make a correction to the number of copies, press <Clear> and re-enter the number.
  7. Press <Start/Copy>.
To stop copying anytime, press <Stop>. If the document does not eject, press <Start/Copy> for a few seconds, then the fax will feed out the document.
  8. The new resolution will remain until it is changed.
