Generally no, the vast majority of TV repair shops will inform you that the panel on your LCD TV is not worth repairing.

At the electronics store I work at, an entry level 26 inch TV sells for approximately $250. To repair a panel on this TV would cost approximately $150 to $200.

Sorry u have to live with it.The very bad scratched on tv screen panel can't be repair.The only way is to replaced the whole tv screen panel and the new screen panel,will cost the same as a new tv.So it not be practical.Because the tv screen panel are limited production by the tv corporations.

only use microfiber cloth to clean LCD panels, and no windex. Use 50/50 distilled water and denatured alcohol, or a dedicated LCD cleaner. Small scratches are not worth buffing out as screen itself is relatively soft plastic.

Typically, all lcd screens have a protective film coating that is scratched is not the matrix. If the scratches are not deep you can try them polished tool for polishing cd drive. If you scratch deeper and you will not be able to remove them yourself, contact a service center to replace the protective cover the screen it will cost a low price

You have not mentioned which part of the screen is the scratch?? Anyway please note that you can not apply a chemical on the scratch. Just leave it and clean it with a slightly damp cloth as long as it does not affect the viewing of the picture on the screen.

If there deep scratches you need to replace the outter layer and that could get expensive. Now if there small scratches a lcd repair kit would work. You can get those on line for the fraction of the replacment of the lcd screen.

I have used clear plastic sheets and silicon tire dressing for smaller problems like this, but no idea how well it would work with a large screen TV. The westleys silicon tire shine smooths out the scratches, and you place the clear plastic sheet on top of that and work out any bubbles then tape the ends. It pretty much changes a standard screen into a glossy screen with the added benefit that you can always replace the sheet if it is damaged.
I usually get my clear plastic sheets packaged with the new LCD screens I purchase for repairs and I just keep them in storage.

The cost of replacing the screen (it is the entire LCD panel) is more than the TV is worth

ive tried the vaseline method (petroleum jelly) and you must be sure not to apply too much on the screen or else it will smudge around the scratch and it is hard to buff out, but if you fill the scratch in and wipe off the excess around it, then it should be barely visible.
