Try these steps

1. Test the lid switch
2. Test the timer control
3. Test the centrifugal switch
4. Test the water level switch
5. Inspect the motor coupler
6. Inspect the drive belt (belt drive only)
7. Inspect under the washer for soot (clutch)
8. Test the motor
9. Inspect the pulley
10. Test the transmission

If the cycle does not stop draining that is usually because of a faulty membrane switch that controls the water level in your appliance.
The faulty sensor cause the machine to think that there is still water inside, even when water has drained completely.

check the power filter board. it's the first component that the power cord encounters in the machine; before the main board.. should have 120volts in and 120volts out. there have been problems with the wiring harness between the main board and display board. these are both rare though. it's almost always a main circuit board failure. i don't think a new door switch will solve your problem.

My Frigidaire front loader washer model LTF2140E doesnt want to drain the water when set to wash (heavy-normal-quick selectors). It washes put thats it. I have to switch the selector to drain/spin then rinse/spin cycle to finish the load. I checked the drain hose for any clogs....everything is clear. Any suggestions? Also,iIs their any reset buttons for this type of washer?
