Memory not refreshing

I have a 1000 songs on my player and its say memory full. But the problem is even if I delete like 15 songs the memory allocation does not change. It stays at free memory : 1 mb even if I delete 15 songs amounting to 45 MB.

Filled my mp3 player to nearly full, so that not one more song would fit on it, and then i must have accidently pressed the record button. Now when i switch the MP3 player on it says "MEMORY IS FULL,...

since the memory of your mp3 is full, dnt try to record or put any song on it. Except if there's a memory card space for it then you can upgrade and continue to load songs. If u still see memory full warning at start up, then try to delete some songs from it. Goodluck.

Memory on my mp3 is almost full without any songs on it.

Try this: Connect your MP3 player to your computer. Open "My Computer". You should see your MP3 player connected. Right click on it. Click on FORMAT. This should completely wipe everything on your MP3 player (except for the original necessary files that came on it origianlly). You should then be able to get all of your space back.

My mp3 player says that the memory is full but I have no songs

if you are deleted the song using computer interface before, it is still on hidden file. plugin your device to computer and go to your sansa directory,
unhide all hidden file and delete it if you are using windows, but for mac pc, just go to the finder then ampty the trash.
