The explanation you are about to read will reset your admin password though be warned, any documents saved to your HDD that are retrieved through the document filing feature will be lost.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!

Enter simulation as follows:

Double tap the HOME key on the copy count screen tap the version number in the bottom right corner eg ver 1.01. At the next screen tap # * C * Now enter 62 and press the MONO key, now press 08 and again press the MONO key.

This gets you to the command to format the HDD except for system area. I know this appears scary but fear not. Press the EXECUTE button in the bottom right of the screen and confirm YES.

This may take a while, I have known it take up to one hour but be patient it will reset the admin password for you causing no damage to the machine. The only thing that you will lose is any documents you have saved to the HDD.

Good luck

SOURCE: I bought Xerox Workcenter Pro 123 a year ago. One month later had a stroke and cannot remeber admin user ID or password. How can I reset?

Go to Xerox.com. Click on the Support and driver section.
Type in 123 in the search box. Then when it comes up, select Drivers and Downloads, then on that site you can click on Documentation and download the User and Admin Guides. That way you can have that info at your fingertip.
The default code is 1111, or 11111. 4 or 5 ones.

SOURCE: default admin password?

Is the installation software being installed on an account with administrator privileges? If not, log off and log back on with an account that has admin privileges. If your account has admin privileges, and the install asks for the password, and you know you have not set such a password, pressing the enter key may skip this problem.

How to enable Windows 7 administrator account and reset lost Win 7 admin password
There are two parts for your Windows 7:
* Enable Windows 7 administrator account
* Reset lost Win 7 admin password
With 240 million licenses sold out in one year, Windows 7 has been proved to be a successful product of Microsoft. Compared with its previous versions like Windows XP, it has many improved features. The built-in administrator account is one of the features. In Windows XP, there is a default administrator account after installation. But the built-in administrator account is disabled by default in Windows 7. To enable Windows 7 administrator account and assign a password to it, you can achieve it in 2 methods.
Part I: Enable Windows 7 administrator account
Method 1: Use Command Prompt
The easiest way to enable the Windows 7 built-in administrator account is to use the Command Prompt.
1. Click Start and type CMD in the search box. Right-click CMD and select Run as Administrator.
2. Click Yes when prompted to allow the Command Processor to run. And then the command prompt will appear.
3. Type net user in the command prompt window, and then hit Enter. All the Windows account user names will be listed. You'll also see the Administrator account, but now it is not enabled.
4. Type net user administrator /active:yes and hit Enter to enable Windows 7 admin account.
Now the Windows 7 administrator account is created. To create the Windows 7 administrator password, you can follow the below steps:
1. Switch to log on Windows 7 with the administrator account.
2. Click Start, Control Panel, User Accounts and Family Safety and User Accounts in order. You'll enter the screen where you can make changes for your account.
3. Click Create a password for your account on the screen.
4. In the coming screen, type and confirm your Win 7 admin password.
5. Enter password hint and click Create Password.
Now your Windows 7 admin password is successfully created.
Method 2: Use Local Users and Groups
1. Click Start and type lusrmgr.msc in the search box, and then hit Enter. The Local Users and Groups screen will come up.
2. Double-click the Users folder. And all the Windows 7 account will be displayed for you.
3. Right-click the Administrator account and select Properties.
4. Uncheck the "Account is disabled" check-box and click OK on the administrator properties screen.
Now Win 7 admin account is enabled. To set a password for the enabled Windows 7 administrator account, follow the steps as below:
1. Right-click the Administrator account and select Set Password.
2. Click Proceed to go on your operation
3. Type and confirm your new Win 7 admin password and click Ok
4. Close the Local Users and Groups screen.
Now the Windows 7 administrator password is assigned to your Windows 7 admin account.
Part II: Reset lost Win 7 admin password
Windows 7 administrator password reset Tips:
Note 1. Please remember to create a Windows 7 password reset disk after assigning Windows administrator password. It allows you to change your forgotten Win 7 admin password when you are locked out of Windows.
Note 2. If you forgot to create the password reset disk, you can choose to use Windows Password Breaker to help create a Windows 7 password reset disk rather than reinstalling the system. Now follow the steps to create the disk to reset Windows 7 password.
step 1. Download and install Windows Password Breaker.
step 2. Run the program and burn a Windows password reset disk.
Step 3. Reset Windows 7 administrator password with the disk.
It is an easy and safe way for Windows 7 admin password reset.

Reset Admin Password Sharp Printer MX 3550V

Page 56 of the following refers to entering the Systems Settings. From there, one enters the Security Settings. That is where changes to the password may be performed. My guess is that the default password is admin. https://business.sharpusa.com/portals/0/downloads/Manuals/MX_3050_3550_4050N_Quick_Start_Guide.pdf
Chances are you must be logged in as administrator, see page 58.
That said, perhaps to following will be of value: When changing the password, be sure to remember the new password.
(It is recommended that you periodically change the administrator password.)
Enter a password consisting of 5 to 32 characters, and tap the [Store] key.
Your setting is made valid only when the machine is turned On again.
• The user-level authentication password is required to add, edit or delete the destination. When you log on, enter
"users" as the user name. Then, enter the user password that you have registered with this option.
The administrator-level authentication password is required to select all settings and the same functions as those
available with the user-level password. When you log on, enter "admin" as the user name. Then, enter the
administrator password that you have registered with this option.
• If you tap the [Store] key without entering a password, the previously set value is assumed. Password protection is
enabled by default

Restore my Mx-b382 setting to factory setting

Probably you can access the settings through the operation screen on the machine.
There you may find this reset setting.

I found a manual here:
https://www.sharp.eu/cps/rde/xbcr/documents/documents/om/34_ppc/MXB382-SC_OM_Start-Guide_GB.pdf

There in it says:
Factory default passwords
When accessing the system settings, the administrator password is required to log in with administrator rights. The system settings can be configured in the Web pages as well as on the operation panel. To access the system settings using the Web pages, a password is also required.
Factory default administrator password is “admin”
Store a new administrator password as soon as the machine is installed.
Once the administrator password has been changed, the new password is required to restore the factory default password. Take care to remember the new password.
Factory default passwords (Web pages)
There are two factory default accounts: "Administrator" and "User". A person who logs in as an "Administrator" can configure all settings in the Web pages. In addition, an administrator can restrict access to other settings by enabling "User" accounts.
Default:
users with password users
admin with password admin

If this has been changed when the machine was installed you have a challenge to find out who changed it and if this person still knows it.

Hi Alex

try below methods

Well, forgetting admin password is really a bad experience. Don't be panic, now we can still use some ways to recover it. Follow me.

For example, Having known that the name of the local admin account is isunshare, but you have forgotten the password of it. Then in the command prompt, you can type net user isunshare .... Just replace the password you like with ...and then click Enter to execute this command.

I cannot set password

There are 2 users in this router, 'admin. and 'user', default password is blank. admin can change password of user without having old password, user can change his own password, admin can change password of his own by supplying his old password then new password twice. To log in to this router, default address is http://192.168.0.1 user name admin and password blank. You may now change password from tools menu.

If you forgot user password then log in as admin and change password, If you forgot all password then only way is to reset router from rare pin hole. Pressing reset for 20 seconds.
