Something similar happened to me before, its probably something wrong with your memory card.  take it out, blow into it, etc.  if that doesnt work then try and switch memory card disc slots. if THAT doesnt work... i dont know. when somehting like this happened to my flashdrive it was because it was it had hidden data or soemthing. anyway, is it a playstation 1 mmory card? those have like no space.

Does it have a external memory card? If yes then check the space left the in the memory card. I believe it is trying to save the file in the memory card which already stuffed. You can either pop the card out first and then download or make some space in the card.

I'm using a Sandisk 1gig Memory Stick, but suddenly it has far less than 1gig to give. I mainly use this stick for my Sony Playstation Portable (PSP) for save files or such. Right now it has one 341.6mb...

because it requires that much space to write files to boot the games

if i were you, i'd save the games on your hard disk and format the 1G memory stock -- buy a larger capacity , such as 4G or 8G

please leave me positive feedback

My 2GB memory stick PRO duo claims its full,

i) it has nothing to do with the number of songs(like you said 188 songs,,,, 15 picturess... or something like that ), it depends on the storage capacity of your memory stick(2 GB)

ii) some songs may occupy more memory, so may occupy less memory....for eg: song1: 10 mb, song2 : 3 mb; .....

so i would suggest to store some songs(not numbered ...depending upon their capacity and suffiencecy of your card....)
