PC was saying no printer found when I tried to print. It worked fine a few weeks ago which was the last time I used it. Then all of a sudden I noticed power was off and does not come on. When I tap the power button the "WES" light flashes once. I tried reseating the cartridges and cleaned the contacts which did not help. I wanted to check for a fuse but cannot remove case.
Hi, most probably the power board faulty. Get the power board for replace.
Thank you vnixx. Will check that out. Having a hard time figuring how to get at it. Have not been successful getting case off of it.

The answer is probably down to the usb port, they don't always like change, because you are trying to swap hardware in same port, they tend to want to stay with one or the other peice of hardware. If you have'nt got another spare USB port, which i assume you have'nt, invest in a 2 or 4 port USB hub(But make sure it's powered by a AC power lead and not just a usb powered hub, because some hardware will not be recognised e.g I Pods), this connects into your usb port and gives you 2 or 4 port more to use, and you won't need drivers for it. They are inexpensive and you simply plug it in. I think this will solve it for you

The problem you are experiencing is a common problem with this printer. What happens is over time as the printer is used, toner or developer builds up a film on the developer blades. The developer blades meter the amount of toner that the printer puts on the paper to make the image. As the film builds up, less and less toner makes it to the page causing the image to become faint. The black developer blade probally is clogged.
This can be fixed two ways. The easiest and most expensive is to buy a new imaging unit for about $100+. The second is to disassemble your imaging unit and clean the developer blade(s). This can be done in about 30 minutes. I have posted instructions in my Tips section.
