322G receiver complete signal loss only on one receiver

I have three receivers only one has complete signal loss. check switch gives error 836.

a phoneline is not going to effect your programming at all, do you see an error message when this happens??

It may be that your dish has been blown out of alignment or struck by something resulting in the misalignment. The dish will need to be repointed. Please call Dish for a service call to rectify the issue. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

SOURCE: receiver 510 error code 836

err 836 means you have changed your recvr to a different dish or LNB's or your missing one or more satellites needed for your installation or programming needs. if this has been in the same location and connected tot he same dish and you dont have sats 105,or 121 listed in the install summary then you will need a technician to check your dish. It could be out of alignment or a faulty LNB.

Hi, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Customer Service here. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could help. In order to help you I would need a little more information on the issue. On your local channels are you seeing an error message or are the local channels skipped over completely? There are a few different basic trouble shooting steps that you can try in order to fix this issue. The first step to try is a reset, you can do this by unplugging the receiver from the wall outlet for 10 seconds. If this does not resolve your issue you are going to want to try checking the guide to make sure the list is not on ALL HD or on a personal list. The next step to try is running a check switch test which will also check the signal you are acquiring. You can do this by pressing menu 6-1-1, then select check switch then test. Once you have allowed the test to run you may see an 836 error message, if you do select cancel, do not save. If none of these options work or you do receive the 836 error message we may have to do further trouble shooting and send out a tech to your home. No matter what I do I can not get any signal. When I do test it shows no signal very frustrated

Are you receiving any error messages on the screen? Usually with signal loss it would be error 015 or 002. I would suggest during a hard reset with the receiver by unplugging it from the wall for 10-15 seconds and allowing it to reboot once plugged back in. If the problem persists run a check switch test by hitting menu on the remote followed by 6-1-1. If you receive any error messages after the check switch we will have to send a technician out to correct the issue. My VIP722 DVr keeps showing that I have a complete loss of signal. This goes for awhile and can receive no HD channels. By going to DVR I can then go to guide and get SD channels only. But then after...

Hello this is Nick Franta with DISH Network.

What error message are you receiving on your screen? There should be a 3 digit number in the top right of the message. Has there been any bad weather in the area which may have affected the signal?

If you haven't been advised to already, I would suggest doing a hard reset of the receiver by unplugging it from the outlet for 10 seconds. When you plug it back in the receiver will reboot itself for you. If you are still getting errors hit the menu button then 6-system setup, 1-installation, 1-point dish, and then hit check switch and then test. All your satellites should show green. If not we would need to send a tech out to address the issue.

We would be happy to help get your DISH Network signal back.The first thing we want to check is if there is anything blocking the signal toyour satellite dish like tree branches, severe cloud cover, or snow build-up.If it is safe to do so, remove the obstruction or wait for it to pass. When you get the message 836, found fewer satellites than previously detected, it usually indicates a problem with a component between the dish and receiver. Normally a tech needs to be sent out to find the problem and to fix it.

Depending on the number of receivers you have active on your account, you may have a loose cable to that receiver if other receivers are working okay. If you have a switch between the dish and receiver, a port on the switch may be bad. If this is occurring on all your receivers, you'll need to call Customer Service to setup a Tech visit.

My receiver wont stop recording after the program ends it will just keep recording how do i stop this

My name is Anthony Thomas with DISH Network Customer Service. This issue is usually due to a faulty program guide with "No Information Available" or incorrect information as to when the programming ends. This can be caused by a faulty Electronic Program Guide (EPG) download, a faulty box, or by signal loss. By pressing the guide button to bring up the guide, and then pressing the numbers 999 and then browse (the right arrow by select) it should give a message that says "The guide information is outdated, download from satellite now?" or something similar. Try it and see if that helps.

If not, that means there is likely a signal issue or an issue with the DVR. To check signal, Press Menu (top left corner of remote under SAT, has three horizontal lines on it), and then press 6-1-1 like you are changing the channels. That should get you to Point Dish. Check Switch will be an option on the right side. Select it and then select TEST at the bottom of the Install Summary screen that will show up. Select YES if there is a warning about TV2, otherwise it will bring up a 058 message saying to wait while test is done. The message 058 will disappear by itself. If a warning 836 message appears, your issue may require a technician due to signal loss. If not, select done to exit Install Summary, Done again to exit Point Dish, and then press the 0 button three times to select the cancel option. This should put you to an "Acquiring Satellite" Message(Attention 015/535 message) and then download the guide (Attention 330). Check it then. If it still doesn't work, the box may need replacing. If it works, you are all done! Hope this helps!

How to fix lnb signal unlock

Hi,

my name is Phillip Chang, member of DISH Networks Customer Service and happy to help. Before performing any of these steps, ensure that the weather is clear. Start by pressing the menu button, this can be found on the top left of the DISH Network remote control, then press the numbers 6-1-1, this should take us to the "Point Dish Screen", then select "Check Switch" on the right of the screen, then select "Test" on the following screen. This will acquire the signal. Just a warning, if you get an attention message "836" do NOT save the changes, give us a call at 1-800-333-DISH (3474 for additional trouble shooting.
