Mitshubishi plasma tv ws65869 wont start green led on in a sec off

Not a Plasma by the model number listed.

When green power light comes on and goes off a few seconds later:

Press and hold on the front of the set both the Menu and Input (source) buttons at same time for at least five seconds and let both go.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like: 2 blinks, 2 blinks and a pause and repeat it several times.

If set has been unplugged it clears the errors and you must turn on and when power light goes out repeat.

Let me know error code found and I will help

I have a mitsubishi ws-65315. When I go to turn the tv on the green power light comes on and you can hear the tv click on, but seconds later shuts off.

this model has a self check, when green light comes on and then goes off. Push and hold both the Menu and Input buttons on the front of the set for at least 5 seconds and release both.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks 2 blinks, a pause and then repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means.

Why wont my mitsubishi big screen tv turn on? the green light comes on but then shuts right back off.

Model number given indicates it should be a 2000 year model.

If so, it should have the self check feature; try to turn the set on and when the green light goes off: On the front of the set press and hold both the menu and input buttons for at least five seconds and then release both buttons.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like: 2 blinks, pause and 2 blinks (2,2 error code is most common one). It will repeat the error code several times.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it may mean.

if this told you something you did not know rate this solution as "very helpful" as I do this here for free.

No picture and no sound

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
