Good Morning girlsnowdog, thank you for your post! I understand you are seeking information if the unit comes with a cover over the dispenser light. However, the only cover on the actual dispenser is the label-model cover. If so, the part number is 240570206. Most parts can be purchased directly from the manufacturer or through a parts distributor in your area (part numbers may vary based on distributor). Is this the part that you are referring to? If not, may you please be more specific? Thank you for allowing me to assist you.

HI I hope I have reached Sea Breeze because I see someone had the same or similar problem as we are having from our GE GSS25... side by side refrigerator. this person wrote: "Water now comes out but only...

You have a bad main control board . Located behind the refrig , behind an 8 X 10 " panel . Easily replaceable . Sorry , not Seabreeze . You can reach him at seabreeze appliance parts . com , I think .

Water filter for ed0gtqxkq00

I looked up your frig and I did not see a filter. If you want to use one, you can install what is called an inline filter. This is simply a filter you install behind the frig attached to the water line going to the frig.

All you have to is unhook the water line from the frig, attach it to your newly bought inline filter, and install another water line on the other side of the filter and hook that back up to the frig!

So now you have a filter and two water lines :) Just make sure to point the filter the right way, the usually have an arrow on them. The water is supposed to flow through them in a certain direction.

Freezer and Frig not cooling. Lights on and Ice dispenser works. Unplug refrig and plug it back in and all seems to work for awhile. This has happened several times in the last year.

I had a similar issue with my fridge and it turned out to be a fried circuit board caused by overheating. I was instructed by the repair guy to pull the fridge further away from the wall to avoid this and to keep the back of the fridge clean of dust.

Fortunately, the repair was covered under my home warranty and only cost $60.

No light on water dispenser

'After about ten months, the water dispenser stopped. I found a 5/16" coupling below the freezer door. Following the instructions on a tab attached to the hose, I separated the hose from the coupling. I then actuated the water cradle. Water gushed out of the tubing. The dispenser side of the dual water valve is ok.
I snaked a wire into the hose toward the dispenser until it stopped. I withdrew the wire then measured the length. The hose had a blockage at the lower left edge of the dispenser opening. I didn't know if there was a check valve in the hose. Since it was still in warranty (2 months to go), I called service.
I didn't say anything about what I did to the tech. He concluded that the hose was frozen (there is no check valve or anything else in the line between the coupling and the dispenser). According to him my options were to replace the door (he actually said that) or shut down the frig and let it defrost. I fabricated a double layer cardboard cover for the freezer compartment. I removed the light bulb then covered the opening. In about 60 minutes the dispenser started working again. I have had the frig since 12/03. It just froze up for the sixth time today (3/20/07). GE has offered no help or acknowledging that the frig has an insulation problem.'

Water in door will not work

I need to know the make and model # to more accurately help you. First and foremost, you will need to thaw your holding tank with a steamer...do NOT use heat gun or hair dryers. The problem could be one of several but I would start by checking the solenoid that supplies the dispenser to see if it is burned out. It is usually located in the back lower part of frig where the water inlet line hooks to. There are usually 2 solenoids.... the ice maker and the dispenser. Unplug the frig before testing these. The resistance across the ice maker and dispenser are usually the same. If the dispenser solenoid is "open" on the ohm meter then the whole water supply valve needs replaced. Another problem with some units where the dispenser is on the FREEZER side...the lines behind the door will freeze. I've seen this with LG's and GE's. They make a special heater modification for units notorious for this latter problem.
