Hotpoint side by side frig-no water, no dispenser lights, ice yes, but no dispense. Door stuff started to work intermitantly, then went off completely. Ice maker works, but no crush or dispense. No water, no lights(not even LED) Is this the motherboarf or the dispenser board? Thanks, DH
Do you think using a voltage meter to test the incoming wires to the dispenser board might help narrow it down to which board is causing the problem?
If it is the dispenser board, do you know what part/model # replaces it?

check the door in the dispenser if moisture is condensing and freezing so that the door won't open try manually popping the door open just before you attempt to dispense ice, maybe you'll get lucky, otherwise your going to have to get a technician to come and check the micro-switch for the dispenser
disp bd most common on ge check for a loose connection first now at one time ge was giving free disp bds but that may be over but still worth a call to ge technical
Mine did the same thing. Other web sites said it was the motherboard. I replaced it and now it works great. The part number is:

These ge sxs should have some kind of surge protection.. they got circuit boards like a small pc.. ge is Very poor quality frigs... try taken off the hindge cap on the freezer side.. unplug the power to the door.. wait 20 minutes try pluggin door back in .. it may reset the despenser board.
