Fuses very rarely go bad on there own. They are there to protect the rest of the TV set when there is a short circuit and then will not damage the rest of the TV set. You could have a short in the main power supply. I'm afraid that if you do not have any solid state repair experience, this set will need to see a pro to diagnose the problem. Good Luck

RCA 52" TV stopped working

It could be the problem or just a symptom of the problem. If the fuse is replaced and blows, then it's something else. Hopefully it's just the fuse. Good luck!

The screen has gone dim

If this has happened over time, then this is not so unusual for a 5 year old projection TV. If happened suddenly then there is a problem in the video circuit. The best thing would be have a technician look att he TV. Please take a few moments to rate my answer. Thanks...

When turning on tv picture will not come on and then tv turns off

Something on the deflection module most likely has gone bad. May just be bad capacitors in the power supply or a bad flyback.

TV wont turn on

have you checked the fuses inside the set. The power outage could have surged just enough to blow the fuse. Dont forget to unplug it when you check the fuse.

Picture

yes it could ba the cable itself even, but i suspect more the tuner circuit or tuner itself may have bad solder connections. Here is another test for you to try, plug another dvd or vcr, or xbox etc. into the back, using one odf the inputs. See if this works like the built in dvd. if so it will be more likely bad connections in the tuner or surrounding circuit. good luck.
