Lide 50 Canon scanner - error code 2,7,0

Hi, I've got a flatbed Lide 50 which comes up with error code 2,7,0 after trying to download calibration data when I press the scan button using toolbox. The scanner works OK on another laptop but the guy who's laptop it is says he had problems when he installed it, but it was a long time ago and he can't remember his fix. Anybody got a solution? I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers to no avail. Thanks. Steve.

Hi all, if you have problem on your device with error code 2, 7, 0 the first thing you try are push the button reset & then push the apply button on the tool box where you do scanning your file mode. Regards-rian

When i install canoscan lide 25 flatbed scanner i try to start my xp computer back up and it takes up to 5 minuets

Those 5 minutes are (1) WinXP trying (and failing) to locate the driver for your Canoscan flatbed scanner, or (2) WinXP perceives that your installation of the flatbed scanner driver failed, and
WinXP is performing a (5 minute long) System Restore to correct the problem.

The Fix to both problems: download (free) updated driver from www.canon.com
For your flatbed scanner:

Problem: Processing calibration data from a scanner

Same problem happened to me last week on my newly purchased canon lide scanner, then I realized there is a tape that holds the mechanism underneath the scanner. You will have to remove the tape, and see if it is set to the unlocked position (mine has a sort of a knob if my memory served me right).

CanoScan LIDE 60 flatbed scanner software

You can download the necessary drivers here:
http://www.driverfiles.net/Scanners/Canon/CanoScan-LiDE-60/download/page,sh,39262,430,11,.html

and the manual, in case it is missing, here:
http://safemanuals.com/user-guide-instructions-owner-manual/CANON/CANOSCAN-%20LIDE%2060-_E

It shouldn't be necessary to download the 'Recommended' "DriverDetective." I believe this is a commercial program.

Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 Flatbed code 39

Did the message say:
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"

Download the Delete driver application from Canon's website and run it. After deleting this and rebooting, try installing again.

CanoScan LiDE 50 error code: 2,7,0

Has your scanner been working before?
If so, has anything changed since then such as new printers or other devices added to the computer, or upgraded to a new OS?
Which OS are you using?

When exactly does the error occur?
Does ScanGear open?
Are you able to preview?

Try connecting the USB cable to another port on the computer (directly to the computer...not through a HUB or any other device). Bypassing a hub, which would have to be a powered HUB, or other devices would rule out any issues with those devices.

Ultimately trying the scanner on another computer would rule out issues with the scanner as well.

Canon Canoscan LIDE 50

Hi am gonna provide you with the link from where you can download it, keep it mind that if you have changed operating systems, then the scanner might not be compatible with you current operating system. For instance if you had Windows ME or Windows XP but currently have Windows Vista there might be some compatibility issues. Good Luck! http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownload/Canon-CanoScan-LiDE-Download-816.html
