Hoover optima OPH616-80

Hi I put a wash on last night before bed and this morning it hadn't finished. The door would not open, still full of water, and the light in between 'Spin Speed' and 'Cold Wash' was flashing intermittently. Any ideas what this means? I put the programme on again this morning but by the time I'd come back from dropping the kids at school, the same had happened. I'm trying it again, third time lucky. Any ideas??

SOURCE: Hoover hpe 236. water not draining, stops mid cycle, lights flash

Have you checked the pump filter, and or that the pump is actually working. if it spins o/k with no water in, then I would suspect a draining problem.
If filter clean and pump o/k, then it could be a control module fault. if this were the case, then it would probably be wiser to purchase a new washer.
Hope this is of some help to you.

SOURCE: Hoover Nextra HNF2127 washing machine. Lights flashing at finish

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The start and pre-wash usually flash due to a clogged drain hose or the water pump. You’ll need to drain the water out of the base and also check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine). If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

SOURCE: Finished, wash and spin lights flashing. Door

I just had this problem! To get the clothes out, open door manually (follow answers on other threads here about opening toe panel and gently pulling down on door release). But as it turned out, I didn't need to remove the clothes, and now my washer is working again.

A local repairman gave me this advice over the phone. Make sure dial is switched to off. Unplug your machine, then plug it back in. Hold down the rinse and delay buttons with one hand. With the other hand, switch the dial from off to cold or warm or whatever cycle you want. All the buttons flash a few times, then just the start button flashes. The second time I tried this, my washer worked afterwards. I've done several loads today with no problem.

M15x gaming laptop screen wont come on after sleep mode or reboot. What can I do?

Looking at your last comment, it looks like you got it working??? Just an heads up, in the future, you might not want to put your laptop into sleep/standy mode while performing an update. If you lose power or have to do a hard shutdown you could corrupt the update and your PC might not boot back up.

Hi Have got a hoover optima about 18 months old. Has got an E02 message in the middle of a cycle because the water board have turned the water off without telling anyone. Can't open the door or get...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

'E02' for your Hoover Optima states 'fill time-out' which is not surprising considering that the water board turned the water off!
I hope by now that the water is back on and so is your washer ;-0)

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Door wont open on my washing machine hoover select 1500

I just had the same problem and came here looking for a solution...I went back one last time and tried to unplug. That didn't work. Then I put it on drain/spin and after a minute interrupted by hitting the pause/cancel button - and it released! I am so happy!
