TRY OPENING THE DOOR UP ALL THE WAY AND SQUIRTING WD-40 ON THE BOTTOM HINGE.
LET ME KNOW IF THIS WORKS.. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK FOR DUST AND FOOD PARTICLES THAT MIGHT NEED TO BE SCRAPED OFF THE HINGE FIRST....

We have a new whirring noise that sounds like a squeaky fan.

is it in the freezer?if so most likely it's a bad evap fan motor, open the door and push in on the door switch and listen to the fan motor to see if that's it.i think the switch is up top on the left side, hold it in,if it is the evap fan motor the new part number is 4681JB1020G and it's around 50 dollars.

Hotpoint HSS25GFP with a loud howling sound in freezer and no water dispensing

The howling sound usually comes from an electronic control when it's going bad. I've also heard of the noise coming from the special shaped condenser fan you have underneath around back. GE may have a fix for this.

Your water line could be frozen in the door. You can disconnect the line under the unit before it goes into the door at the bottom hinge. Push the dispenser button and see if it comes out there. If it does leave the door open till it thaws. Covering the opening with a blanket will prevent the loss of cold in the freezer. . GE makes a heater that will prevent this from happing again. The part number for this heater is WR49X10173.

disconnect the line to the water dispenser at the water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in and try the dispenser. if you hear the valve work but water doesn't come out, the valve is bad. If you don't hear the valve, the dispenser switch is bad

Ref light bulbs wh-pool GS5SHA

Your refrigerator has two sets of electronic control boards. One is inside and works to adjust temperature and to communicate with the other below and behind the refrigerator. They both have relays that if bad could cause the sounds you hear. It would be ok to pull it away from the wall and open bottom cover and listen to see if the sound is coming from the lower control board. If yes we need to examine the board after unplugging the power to refrigerator. let me know if the board is the reason or if while there you find something different, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Bubbling sound coming from the bottom of my freezer

There is a vacuum build up in the freezer compartment when you close the door. This can make the door difficult to open. You can overcome this by sticking a small lollipop stick to the bottom part of the door gasket. This will act as a vacuum breaker.

Creaking Sound when Opening Door of GE Profile PTS22LHSCC Refrigerator

My GE side by side does the same thing. It's this creaky squeaky sound whenever I open either door, I oiled the hinges on top and bottom and it went away for a couple days but is back. I like the fridge otherwise but it sounds like a cheap piece of junk.

FREEZER SOUNDS VERY NOISY

that because the internal fan is hiting the ice or has bad bushings you can hear the noise just with the door close because when you open the door there is a switch the one turns off the internal fan so when you close the door it turn on the fan again if you wants to hear that with the door open just open the door and push the botton swich with your fingers and you'll hear the noise
