Its almost like its asleep but ive turned it off and took the battery out and still does nothing

Kinda strange. Not turning on indicates a hardware problem, you made software changes. If the software changes caused a problem, it would start, just not boot to windows. I would first tryy to reset the laptop. Unplug it and remove the battery, hold down the power button for 60 seconds, then try again. If still no go, start removing hardware one at a time, hard drive, rem, wireless card, dvd rom. You may have a bad hard drive. Your pc should boot to bios if there is no hard drive installed. If that happens, run a diagnostic on your hard drive from your bios. Let me know if you need anything else.

It is a design/manufacturing flaw in the nvidia gpu due to overheating. some consumers are attempting a class action suit

There is a Limited Enhancement Program that includes this model. If you are in the US call 1-800-474-6836. If you are outside US check the HP.com website and search for the Limited warranty enhancement Program.
This is normally a video chipset issue that is embedded in your MB. If your notebook is part of the program, hp will shoulder the repair cost for the MB replacement.

Yes it may very well be. Your battery may be running out. Try this: drain your battery completely than take it out of your laptop. Now power on your unit and let your computer recognize that the battery is missing. Turn off your unit and put in your battery and power up. Let the battery charge go to your battery cofig and check on the status. When it is fully charged you should get from 8 to 16 hours of constant battery time. When you jump back and forth from battery plug in your power cord and back and forth you actually wear your battery out faster. Sometime the life of the battery is cut in half. I disable my battery from my computer while it is still attached so you don't have to take it out and just use it when I need it. This will keep more refreshed and will last a lot longer.
Hope this helps, let me know if I can help you with anything else. It would be very kind of you if this does work for you to please rate me or leave a short note. I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

If its working then check the battery, reseat the battery & check.
If available then check with another battery
If no, then remove the battery & switch on the PC in AC mode.
Check if battery charging indication or AC power on indication is glowing. if not then need to change ur motherboard.
If indication is OK, but could not power ON then check ur RAM for any loose connection or dust. clean & reinstall.
If still no display, connect an external monitor, check if display is comming.
If Display is coming then your LCD need to replace.
