How do you remove he dvd burner from G7 series pavillion lapop

only answer is w7 64bit says HP.

your DVD worked when new! so...
did you format the hard drive
or install windows, 7 fresh from MS and not HP. (see there USB install feature at hp.com)

we cant know what you did to this OS, from 2013 new
my guess is you failed to connect that notebook to the internet first
then when the screen showed, DVD failure , PNP"plub and play{"
then you click let windows find the driver!
and let it, on the internet, connected.
it will find it.

Question: What do you see on the screen? A black screen that is blank? A lit up screen that is blank? What Operating system do you use? Did you make any changes or replace anything on the Pavillion G7?

Try a different sd card,, chances are your card needs to be replaced.. yes they go bad, sometimes very quickly.

Clean the lenz if this doesnt solve it your Laser Pick Up assembly is bad have a Tech replace.

download the drivers for this unit from manufactuers website and install them,then check your device manager again

You first remove that device from device manager.
Then restart the pc.
You may check the BIOS menu for that device for any clarification.
After restart since u have removed it the OS will detect the device and install it automatically.

download the dvd then access the file and put in a blank disc and select that file

remove it and and put it back again and set bios to default settings
