The Sears delivery and installation person left the shipping bolts in the back of machine. Unknowingly, ran the machine through a cycle. (It jumped around, pulled out the drain hose, flooded upstairs laundry room, leaked through ceiling in kitchen, and soaked kitchen hardwoods.) Husband removed bolts and it washes. However, could this cause future problems with machine? Would you have Sears replace the washer?
I just recently had a frontloader delivered WITH shipping bolts IN PLACE also... it did the whole LEAK EVERYWHERE thing too!!! The repair guy has already looked at the damage and the ENTIRE machine is being replaced as we speak. BOTH baskets had rips torn into them and it is only holding itself up by ONE shock right now. Sears definitely owes you BIG TIME!!! I'd DEMAND a new washer immediately.
I would have sears replace the washer and also replace all the damage in your house. If it pulled out the drain hose there could be damage in there, if they are not willing to replace the machine then they should run a thorough diagnostic to make sure EVERYTHING is in working order, and still replace what is damaged to your house
