If its the lamp indicator flashing its an issue with the lamp. If the lamp is new I would double check to see if its making contact completely when its slid in often the pins can get bent slightly. If it were the ballast the power indicator would blink 5 times.

SOURCE: Power Led Flashing red 6 times....

the thermocoupler fuse is what it is called by the way. i also saw that it could be the "power board" which could or could not be synonymous with the thermocoupler. anyway, again it is a common problem with these models. Scott Jackson, MS

4 times blink error shows that any FAN is not running in TV as there are 4 fans in this TV.
Please check fan connectors and make sure all are plugged securely.

SOURCE: KDF-E60A20 Red Light Flashing 6x

a 6x blinking error code is usually the thermal fuse located above the lamp housing on the light engine. probable cause of failure is clogged fan located in same area or poor ventilation because set is to close to wall [unit requires minimum of 4 inches of clearance]. part # is 1-910-023-93. another possibility but less likely is the gm board which drives the lamp voltage. part # is a1109407a.

Heard a pop. Checked and had to replace the lamp. Now when turned on the power-standby flashes green, then flashes red, but TV never comes on.

How many times red light flashing?
This is an error code and red flashing count indicates a particular problem in specific section of tv, please count how many times red light flashing after 3 seconds long pause and post here to suggest a solution.
Thanks.

Hi, Our Sony Bravia TV model number KDF E50A11E is not working. There is a red blinking light flashes three times and then goes green and then red blinking again after about 3 seconds. Is this a bulb...

On that particular model I believe there is both a lamp indicator light and then the power indicator light. If it is lamp related the lamp indicator light (LED that looks like a sun in a cup...) would be on.

If the power indicator light is flashing red to green, that is a self diagnostic code, and you will have to contact an authorized Sony repair fascility for them to translate the problem. The error codes are not listed in the user manual, since most are not user serviceable.

I got a 50" sony model KDF E50A10 I got a new lamp bout i sill get 3 red flashes

3 red light flashes shows that lamp cover has not been fixed in its place as it is first plastic cover that was removed from tv cabinet to replace lamp in tv.
Make sure lamp cover is back in its place securely.

The tv will turn on but no the screen wont. and

Replace the lamp would be the first thing to try. Lamp door switch on this model is notorious for going bad. If you replace lamp and still won't turn on jumper door switch. If you take off back you can see switch board.

If standby light flash 3 times that means Lamp Cover is open or not fixed properly on its place.
Please make sure lamp cover is fixed securely.
Have you replaced its lamp recently?
Thanks.
