I have a Sony KDF-E50A10. Originally my problem was that I could not turn it on. I would get three flashing green lights, a pause, then three flashing red lights on the power/standby indicator. I unplugged the tv and removed and reinstalled the lamp. After I did that the tv turned on but the picture has a green hue to it. Also, on the bottom right hand side there is a star effect of blue pixels. Could it be that I need a new lamp or would it be something else? Thanks in advance for the help.

I believe your issue with Light engine.(KDf-E50A10) If you have warranty on this unit contact seller.

Same unit different problem
Customer replaced Lamp ***'y still unit bliks, there is two reason.
1.if your lamp door not closed properli it will blink.
2.watch for ballast ***"y fires the triger to on the Lamp? if not your old lamp is good repalce Ballast..

My Sony TV SDF-E50A10 has a flashing red lights which the manual recommend for us to replace the projection lamp. I bought a Sony Projection Lamp for $199.00 and upon replacing the old lamp, it is still flashing. Do you think flashing lights mean another problem other than Lamp. Majual doesn't say anything.. Need your feedback
