Your printer experienced a PrinterPlease try the following to resolved that issue:

1. Resetting the Printer

By resetting the printer's power, the print buffer is cleared and certain sensors are reset. If there is invalid data in the buffer, or sensors are stuck in a particular mode; errors may occur.
Follow these steps to reset the printer:
Turn the printer off with the Power button (if available).

Disconnect the data cable from the printer (not applicable to WiFi, Bluetooth or Infrared) .

Unplug the printer's power cord for approximately 10 minutes, and then plug it back in. If troubleshooting a communication issue, reconnect the data cable (not applicable to WiFi, Bluetooth or Infrared).

Turn the printer back on.

2. Reseat Print head

*Confirm that the printer is powered on.

*Open the paper output tray and top cover.
Note: Gently open the paper output tray while holding it.

*After confirming that the print head holder has moved to the center, open the inner cover.

*Remove all ink tanks.

*Raise the print head lock lever and remove the print head.

*Re-seat the print head into the print head holder and lower the print head lock lever until a click is heard.

*Insert the appropriate ink tank into the slot at the right end and push down on the PUSH mark on top of the ink tank until a click is heard. Install the other ink tanks in the same manner.

*Close the inner cover and top cover.
Note: Check that each ink tank is installed in the correct position.
If those steps above are exhausted and issue still present printer may require service.

SOURCE: when power on printer, green and amber lights

The 6000 error tells you there's a line feed problem, that's the platen roller that the paper is fed over just before printing. You need to inspect with a flashlight and mirror to see that nothing is inside stopping the roller from turning. Sometimes I find toys, screws, gum, candy inside usually from little hands.

SOURCE: when i turn the printer on the light flashes amber

when i turn the printer on the light flashes amber several times, then green then repeats flashing amber, and back to green etc. turning it off and back on made no difference. last time it worked normally after being off for a couple of days, but now it is doing that again.

Amber light flashes 7 times, then green for a couple of seconds, then amber 7 times etc.

I believe that 7 amber flashes refer to a cartridge error. Check that the cartridge is seated correctly.
