The PlayStation Portable system is only compatible with "Memory Stick Duo" and "Memory Stick PRO Duo" memory cards. You should have read that in the manual, or on the box, or directly on the unit.

Inserting by force any other type of memory card (including "Memory Stick PRO" that are not Duo) will break your PSP. There are dozens of types of memory cards on the market. They don't have the same shape and size, and they don't work the same way.

Trying to push another type of memory card in your PSP is acting like a kindergarten child who desperately tries to push a cube in a hole that is shaped like a circle.

Camera takes pictures without memory card but won't when memory card is in, why

What type and size memory card? The C653 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. Even though SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work with this camera.

How to remove/load sd card stuck in Huawai M860

The SD memory card slot is spring loaded, to insert the memory card insert the card into the SD memory slot with the SD card contacts going in first and gently push it in until it locks in place. NOTE if the SD card does not slide into the slot easily then the SD memory card has been inserted back to front, turn the SD card around and insert it again.
To remove an installed SD memory card, press the SD memory card and it will pop out slightly then you can then pull out the SD memory card.

I had the same problem with an HTC Aspire ( I think that's what it was called :} Anyway I formatted the micro SD card in fat 32 through my laptop using a micro sd to sd adapter and the sd card slot on my laptop. I then stuck the micro sd card back into the HTC and it worked. I heard formatting through another phone works too. Try it and let me know.

On my Lumix DMC-TZ3 Panasonic Camera- the memory card won't pop out as it aleays has-tried pulling it and it won't come out-don't want to damage the camera-any suggestions?

Hi, fitzarc , and welcome to FixYa,
Everyone should be telling you that this is a problem best solved by the manufacturer or a trained service technician, and they are correct, but if you are determined to do this yourself, you might try the following:
Some camera digital memory cards have a "lock" tab of the side of the card and this is used when you do not want the contents of said card to be overwritten.
Often times, that tab will protrude just a wee bit, enough to lodge itself in its track and therefore appear to be stuck.
I have solved this problem on my own camera by taking a small pair of needle-nosed pliers , grabbing the card and GENTLY moving it back and forth while GENTLY pulling it out.
It's worth mentioning here that buying a good memory card that is sturdy, reliable and a known brand name. Some camera manufacturers provide a lower end memory card and these typically have problem like you're experiencing as well as having trouble retaing data- in this case, your photos.
Good luck and let us know how you go!

AFTER INSERTED A NEW BATTERIES IN THE SCREEN SHOWS CARD LOCKED, HOW I CAN FIX THAT

Try taking out your batteries and then taking out your memory card. In memory card you can see a small button at the side you need to slide that to unlock your memory card. Put back in batteries and memory card. Turn on camera.

If this works, just put back in your memory card and try again. Sometimes the memory card hangs and you need to pop it in and out.

M2 memory card is not getting formatted!!!

Hi,

Start by inserting the memory card into your computer, right click on it and click on "Properties". Click on the "Tools" tab and click "Check Now" this should repair errors on the memory Card. Try using the Memory Card to see if the problem still persist.

If it does then right click on the Memory Card Icon found on your "My computer" icon and run a virus scan. The antivirus scan would clean files that are infected. Hope you have a good antivirus for this purpose. Once it's completed you can check to see if the problem still persists.

Finally if it does then I'll advice that you format the memory card, although this means that you would loose all the data you have stored up on the memory stick. Format and try using it.

This should solve your problem, if it persist then you'll have to change the memory stick.

Good luck.

Memory card stuck in camera

Normally the card is spring loaded, so when you press down on it, it will pop out. If the card is stuck solid, don't try and force it out. Be gentle and try coax it out with some needle nose pliers.
If you feel the plastic flexing or if anything may break, it may a case of dissembling the camera.
