Hello =) Here is how to display which version of a software you have(If needed): Click the "Wrench" icon, the version will be displayed in the top screen's lower right corner. Here is how to update the DSI's software: Internet connection is needed(Wireless). Click settings (Wrench icon)->Click the right arrow until you reach page 4->Click "System update"->Click yes then next->I agree then ok.-> Wait. :) Hope this helps! :)
There are 2 ways you can do it. 1. From Adobe website, click Download now and it will self install: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ 2. If you are behind a proxy, it may not work, so you need to get a standalone version from a software website like Softpedia for Windows: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/WEB-Design/Flash/Macromedia-Flash-Player.shtml
To play regular Xbox games on the 360, you MUST have an internet connection when you start up the game, to download the compatibility patch from XBL. Once you have the patch you won't need the internet to play the game from then on.
Do need the internet, just go into your settings tab on the intro menu for the PS3 and hit system update. Use the via internet option and it finds the newest version...2.70. Takes a bit to download but, when it's done you get to enjoy watching the otherwise $30 drink coaster.
Hey fyocksofresh, If performing a system update with your PS3 fails, you may wish to try updating using a USB flash drive and your home computer instead. In order to do so, you'll need to create the following folders on the flash drive itself: PS3 > Update Once this is done, you'll want to visit the website I've provided below to download the most recent software version. The link should be easily found under the "Download the System Software" heading on the page. http://playstation.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/playstation.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=275 Once you've downloaded the file and transferred it onto the USB flash drive, connect the flash drive to your PS3 and choose "Update via Storage Media" instead of the normal internet option. In the event that updating the software this way doesn't work, there are a couple of things you may wish to try before attempting again. 1) Delete all the cache files and cookies from your PS3's internet browser. 2) Power cycle your PS3 (turn it off completely, then back on) before attempting again. 3) Restore the default PS3 system settings. This should clear any potential problems that may be caused by your current system software version. If none of these help, I'd strongly suggest contacting Sony for more information. You should be able to do so by calling their toll-free hotline at 800-345-SONY (800-345-7669) or by filling out an online repair request form. Hope this helps you out. Sincerely, Aaron Go Ahead.
