You need to look for TV's labeled 3D ready feature a screen capable of displaying 3D content, and have the necessary emitter built-in. One important thing to keep in mind is that you'll need more than just a 3D TV to watch 3D at home - you'll also need pairs of 3D Glasses for anyone watching, as well as a 3D video source, like a 3D Blu-ray movie.

How do i watch a 3d movie on my 55"thorn tv?

the tv automaticly determines if it should go to 3D mode as long as the DVD player or say like PS3 or PS4 is connected to HDMI (yes those two game consoles will support HD Blueray 3D and DVD 3D movies) if the TV isnt displaying 3D look into the video settings of your TV to enable that ability also your TV will come with 3D glasses if the TV supports 3D

Do you have a manual I can print off?

Sony has the manual for the KDL-50R550A on the product support site: https://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=KDL50R550A&template_id=1Ā®ion_id=1&tab=manuals#/manualsTab . Look in the left hand column under Manuals for the Operating Instructions; if you don't see that heading, click on the Manuals, Specs & Warranty tab. The current direct link to this manual is https://docs.sony.com/release//KDL-R520A_R550A.pdf . You should be able to print the file from Adobe Reader or a similar program.

I hope this helps.

I'm trying to watch a 3d movie in my blue ray 3d

First off is your TV a 3D TV. If it is you should be able to go into the menu setting (or on the remote) and change the display from regular TV to 3D. Then your 3D blu-ray player should recognize it.

How can enable 3d on philips led 40pfl8605h?

Do you have the PTA02 accessory for the TV? This is a USB 3D transmitter and comes with 2 pairs of Active 3D glasses. The screen of the 40PFL8605H is not a 3D TV by itself.

Once you have the accessory plugged in, you may need to wait for the software to be installed on your TV before you can watch 3D content. See the manual for the TV for more information: http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/4/40pfl8605h_12/40pfl8605h_12_dfu_eng.pdf . This is on page 73 of the PDF.

I hope this helps. If you have the 3D accessory plugged in, try turning off the TV and turning it back on if the software did not install properly. The final thing to check is the "codecs" for your 3D movies on the USB stick. Make sure that they are compatible with the TV.

Visio LCD LED 3D tv how do you watch tv in 3D?

For the M3D420 Vizio TV, you need a 3D source connected to the TV with an HDMI cable that supports 3D. Some older HDMI cables will not carry all of the data of a 3D source. Turn off the set top box (for example a 3D Blu-ray player). Set your TV to the correct input (press the Input button on your remote). Then turn on the set top box and (for the Blu-ray player) insert your 3D content disc. Start playing the movie. When you see the prompt "3D content detected", highlight Yes to switch to 3D display and press OK to start the 3D playback.

After selecting Yes and pressing OK, then put on your 3D glasses. Make sure that you are sitting with your eyes level with the TV screen eye-line and looking straight at the screen. (If you are off-line, you will not get the 3D experience.)

These directions probably apply to all 3D Vizio TVs. I hope this helps.

Hi We have the Onkyo TX-SR605 and have been trying to preview 3-d on our Direct TV and new Samsung 55" 3D capable TV. However, the TV problem solver says that the receiver may not support 3D...

I have a '608, and it supports 3D because it has HDMI 1.4. It looks like the 605 only has HDMI 1.3.

The original HDMI 1.3 protocol is not 3D capable, but revisions a/b/c support it. You should check to see what HDMI revision the 605 has.

My big scree has a double picture or a shadow somewhat like 3d kind of

Projection TV sets are known to have two common problems. The first problem that is common to these sets is convergence failure. When this happens the TV will usually look 3D, Wavy/Distorted, etc. It may also shutdown and blink an error code.

The second common problem with Projection TV sets is dull video, halos around objects, white looking video, or red overpowers the screen. This is commonly caused by the fluid in the lens being clouded overs.
