Coffee machine will not grind the coffee beans?

We've had the machine from new for five years, never had a problem until it just stopped grinding the beans. I had someone look at it and they said the blades were worn, but couldn't source any more but I am not sure whether they could be bothered.
The machine makes a noise as though it's about to grind and then just stops.
If you kindly confirm if you think it not fixable, I would really appreciate it.
Many thanks
Deborah Evans

Since your grinder makes noise and the problem occured suddenly, I would rule out a grinder problem. I am guessing that your grinder runs 10-20 seconds before it stops. If that is the case you need to look for a obstruction in the grinder or a failed microswitch on the doser. Either of these could cause the problem.

Delonghi magnifica evo never stops grinding coffee beans

Ground coffee beans can squirrel their way into hard to reach places in a grinder and cause problems. I think it is clogged with grounds. Remove the beans. Reseat the burr (grinder). Reset the adjustment ring to 3. Lock itin place with the silver handle. Reinstall the hopper and beans. Here is a tutorial on more advanced cleaning and maintenance: You can skip the ad. I have a saeco royal my machine is grinding beans but will not stop

Your question is not right.
Grinder stops on its own in 16 to 18 seconds (times out).
It may not be grinding beans an spinning free because the beans are not feeding.
You may have used oily beans or set the grind fineness at very fine powder like. This powder like fineness also clogs the grinder..
You need to clean the grinding chamber and the ground coffee outlet.

Saeco odea does not brew. coffee beans will grind, then coffee maker will start flashing all lights, and ground coffee will spit out without brewing. when i change beans to more oily ones, it works without...

Hi...Keep on grinding until the Auto Dosing System readjust the amount of grind to be in the optimum. Normally it takes 3 to 4 grinds. Whenever we change the type of beans, this condition happens, it is not a problem.

I have a gaggia syncrony logic. The coffee beans are not going to the grinder so the grinder is just spinning,we have cleaned the machine and cant tell if something is stuck in it or what. cand you help?

This fixes almost all the "beans will not feed or beans will not grind" problems caused by coffee bean dust packed in the burrs. Oily beans cause this problem more fequently.
a. Pour all the beans out the top.
b. Open the settings up all the way and see what else can be poured out. Use your shop vacuum to **** grounds out the spout and backward out the bean bin.
c. Pour in some instant rice and start grinding. Reduce the grind to a small setting like six and then open the settings all the way again. (The grinder will not start at a low setting with the rice in it. If you let it stop, open the settings to about 16 before trying to restart.)
d. Pour out the rice and vacuum out the ground rice.
e. Adjust the grinder to your favorite setting and try a coffee grind. Grind until most of the rice dust is expelled (any remaining trace of rice dust will not affect the flavor of the coffee).

I bought new green coffee beans recently, roasted it myself and wanted to use it in the machine but the grinder gets stuck and won't turn. The new beans are harder and smaller than the type I used to have....

Hello. I have a saeco vienna superautomatic

This happens due to condensation caused by steam developed at the end of the grinding cycle. Make sure that the grinding chamber is completely cleaned and dried before using the grinder.

  1. Turn the whole bean chamber to the right until it can be lifted off the base. This will allow you to clean the grinding wheel. NOTE: Never use water or liquid for cleaning the lower grinding section of this appliance.
  2. Clean interior recesses with a soft brush (not provided).
  3. Wash the whole bean chamber and lid and the ground coffee chamber and lid in mild detergent and water. These items are only dishwasher safe on the top rack of your dishwasher. Wipe exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse mill in water or any other liquid or place in dishwasher. Use only non-abrasive cleaners to remove stains.
  4. After completely drying, replace whole bean chamber. Important: when replacing whole bean chamber, screw on completely before setting grinding rate. Turn chamber clockwise (as viewed from top), until it will not turn. Fill with whole coffee beans for grinding and replace lid.
  5. Replace ground coffee chamber and lid, making sure it snaps securely into place.

I have a Divina Deluxe and the coffee grinder is moving but it does not appear to be grinding it justs runs until the cycle stops. The machine turns on and gets ready but not grind. I have opened it up and...

Remove brew unit and check the grounds chute from the grinder, if that is clear, then re-insert unit, then when the grinder is grinding adjust to a coarser grind.
